Windmill City Weekend Showcase: Program Changing Sophomores

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2nd Annual Windmill City Showcase Event is the premier high school live event of the summer, recognized by the NCAA. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Although I couldn't attend in person this year, I dedicated the past few days to watching over 15 games. The showcase featured some promising sophomores who will be key players for their respective programs in the upcoming high school season. She is smooth and patient with the ball. Throughout the showcase, she showed her ability and comfort moving without the ball in her hand. She makes quick decisions and doesn't get frazzled when doubled.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>However, defensively is where Thulin poses a significant problem for many teams. She's lengthy and active, with a strong sense of awareness that plays a major role on this end of the court as well. The game against Nazareth impressed me the most. Playing in the post against one of the taller players in the state, Jada showed her footwork in the post to avoid block shots and on the opposite side showed her ability to solidify her position and box out with purpose. From a scoring standpoint the kid had a strong weekend. As I mentioned on multiple occasions, Wardle is one of those players that you appreciate even more when you get to see her in person. But even on film, you can see what she brings to the table as a standout basketball player. I don't think these offers are going to slow down. The kid plays the game with a ton of effort and energy on both sides of the ball. Defensively, she's aware, ready, and makes an impact at almost every spot on the court, especially on the perimeter. She was key in their win against Nazareth, making big stops and big shots. The thing that has stood out to scouts is her ability to be active on the perimeter just as much as the paint. She has speed, size and length that can't be taught and it was on display from start to finish of the showcase. </em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
