George Rogers Clark hosted the Bluegrass Cardinal Classic Girls High School Scholastic Event on June 13th and June 14th. This event featured 56 teams in total from across Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia. The level of talent on display all at once at all 5 locations was amazing to see. I also noticed college coaches from D-I, D-II, D-III, NAIA, and JUCO schools seated in the assigned coaches sections to get a look at current prospects on their radar and future prospects to recruit.

[player_tooltip player_id='743648' first='Adrianna' last='Brown'] 2027 Scott County

I liked what I saw from Adrianna against Logan County. She looked good as the primary ball handler. She pushed the pace and had no problem creating space off the bounce; elite speed, quickness, and crazy handles! Adri shot the ball with confidence from beyond the arc and knocked down 2 triples. She applied immense ball pressure on "D" and came up with a steal. Vocal leader that cheers her teammates on from the bench when she is not in the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='403466' first='Khania' last='Jones'] 2025 GRC

Khania has not seen much action since March but she is starting to pick up where she left off. She is very athletic, long, and has good size. Her quick second-jump and anticipation gave her an advantage on the boards. She had multiple offensive rebounds and put-backs. She scored well at the rim and used her length to deflect passes and challenge shots at the perimeter. Surprised me with her 3-point shooting!

Sutten Van Metre 2025 Grayson County

Sutten is the senior leader and the captain of the ship. She impacted the game on both ends of the floor. Sutten did a good job keeping her head up in transition to find open teammates running the floor. She was on target from long distance and made several 3's in the game. Also liked her active hands on defense and ability to pick pockets.

Katie Elmore 2025 Barren County

Katie was terrific off the dribble against Spring Valley. She was in attack mode on offense; did a good job finding gaps to attack and can finish through contact with either hand at the rim. Katie shot it well from the outside and has a nice left-handed shooting stroke.

Allison Mosby 2025 Scott County

Allison Mosby is the definition of a SHARPSHOOTER. She got hot against Logan County and nailed 5 trey balls. She has parking lot range and often followed her shot. Allison also made her presence felt on defense with a blocked shot and a steal that turned into a layup the other way.

[player_tooltip player_id='724181' first='Gabby' last='Karle'] 2026 Ashland

Gabby is a Savvy-Playmaking Guard! Her basketball IQ is off the charts and the way she sees the floor is extraordinary! She is a gifted-passer that can fit passes in tight windows. Gabby is a bucket-getter that can score from all three levels on the floor and never takes a bad shot. She had countless assists and multiple steals as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1198703' first='McKenna' last='Smith'] 2025 Morgan County

Mckenna has a strong and solid build. She can do damage from the inside-out on offense with her ability to hit the 3-ball and get buckets around the rim. She was also extremely active on the glass on both ends.

[player_tooltip player_id='688044' first='Zoey' last='Beehn'] 2025 Daviess County

Zoey's versatility was on full display against Taylor County on Day Two. She battled for rebounds and used her size and strength to box out and gain position. She impressed me with her ability to defend the post and the perimeter. Zoey fed the low block with a good entry pass and spaced the floor with a corner 3-pointer.
