By the time they graduate high school three years from now, the Class of 2027 will have been through more than 10 rankings cycles in all. Many will climb the list by a significant amount while others will trend in the opposite direction. It's inevitable. Given that just four months have passed since we last updated the Prep Girls Hoops freshmen rankings, we weren't expecting to see a whole lot of movement this time around. At the upper end of the list that premonition proved true. Farther down the ladder, however, a number of players have raised their stock in ways that are worthy of note. Here's an overview of the changes made now that we have added 24 new prospects to the rankings for a total of 90 in all.

Before we do that, however, let us remind you that the Prep Girls Hoops prospect rankings are based on a player's potential to play college basketball. They ARE NOT a judgement on a player's current performance in high school. It's an important distinction that should clarify why some high school standouts are farther down the list than players who have yet to grace a varsity roster. Time will tell if we are correct, of course, but based on a distinct set of criteria we do our best to identify the primary next-level prospects. To learn more about this, go to the How We Rank section and study up on the process. It's good stuff!

The top three prospects in the Class of 2027 have not changed. They are #1 [player_tooltip player_id='377583' first='Mya' last='Wilson'] of Hill-Murray (All Iowa Attack), #2 [player_tooltip player_id='498661' first='Pressley' last='Watkins'] of Benilde-St. Margaret's ([program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] UAA) and #3 [player_tooltip player_id='578467' first='Amisha' last='Ramlall'] of Rosemount ([program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] UAA). All three have proven themselves over time and are rapidly collecting the level of college offers commensurate with their ranking status. In other words, the high majors are calling often.

The first change in player status comes at #4 on the list where two-way guard [player_tooltip player_id='529357' first='Emma' last='Millerbernd'] of Providence Academy and [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] has risen one position since the last update in February. Since then she's won another high school state championship and put together another outstanding AAU campaign. Business as usual for Emma and worthy of an incremental change in her status.

CHANGES IN THE TOP 25

Who else moved up in the Top 25?

#16 [player_tooltip player_id='644100' first='Annika' last='Kieser'] – The big guard/forward from Wayzata has had an exceptional summer with [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] UAA where her skills have continued to improve, her motor is still running at maximum RPM, and her ability to change a game keeps on rolling on. Kieser rises two positions to #16.

#19 [player_tooltip player_id='667778' first='Laila' last='Moses'] – The lengthy forward from DeLaSalle played a key role in the Islanders success all winter. In the spring she was elevated to the top [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] team in her age group. Laila has made the most of her opportunities, earning a 6-position jump to #19.

#20 [player_tooltip player_id='659130' first='Jaliyah' last='Diggs'] – The crafty little point guard, formerly of Park Center and now of Hopkins, is one of the most exciting prospects in the class. Just last weekend we saw her go head to head against bigger, stronger, more highly regarded athletes and come out on top through sheer force of will. Jaliyah is up 4 to #20.

#23 [player_tooltip player_id='764229' first='Toni' last='Fisher'] – Among those in the top 25, nobody has improved more than the lengthy guard from Prior Lake and Fury 2027 UAA. Toni has grown taller, is gradually filling out her frame, and continues to play with quickness, pace, tenacity and bounce. Her ceiling just keeps rising which is why Toni is up 12 to #23.

#25 [player_tooltip player_id='766677' first='Sienna' last='Duininck'] – The crafty point guard from Central Minnesota Christian is one of the most deceptive players in the class. She employs exceptional skills, great court vision and high basketball IQ to out-think opponents of all descriptions on behalf of [program_tooltip program_id='714566' first='Minnesota' last='Stars'] Antl. She rises two spots into the top 25.

THE BIGGEST STOCK RISERS

While the 12-position leap earned by Fisher was the largest such improvement among players in the top 25, there were five more prospects who also raised their stock by double digits.

#37 [player_tooltip player_id='659121' first='Anna' last='Neyens'] – The crafty guard from Mountain Iron-Buhl played a huge role in the Rangers run to the Class A state championship game. She followed that up with an excellent spring on behalf of [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] Elite. More recently, she has moved south to join All Iowa Attack. Through it all, Anna's focus on continuous improvement has not waned. She earns a 12-place jump to #37.

#38 [player_tooltip player_id='866100' first='Addie' last='Iversen'] – The big guard from Delano comes from strong basketball lineage and, over time, she is proving that the proverbial apple doesn't fall far from the family tree. The 5'10 sophomore-to-be has grown her skillset and gained a ton of confidence. She started the season with [program_tooltip program_id='714566' first='Minnesota' last='Stars'] Lindahl and has now moved up to the Antl team where she looks right at home. Iversen improves by 12 to #38.

#45 [player_tooltip player_id='639702' first='Ellie' last='Drange'] – We are pretty excited by what we've seen from the Hill-Murray guard this spring and summer with [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] S40. Last year she showed flashes of potential and a lot of athleticism. While the athletic ability is still there, the potential has morphed into productivity at a rapid pace. Ellie is quick, she's strong and she is aggressive. All that has earned her a 14-spot bump up to #45.

#46 [player_tooltip player_id='764292' first='Aaliyah' last='Williams'] – The crafty little guard from Rochester Lourdes has made a name for herself across Southern Minnesota, both at the high school level and in travel ball. This spring she joined [program_tooltip program_id='712665' first='Metro' last='Stars'] 2027 Szabla and her stature as a collegiate prospect took off on a bigger stage. Aaliyah is a game changer with speed, quickness and skill, assets that have earned her a 14-position improvement to #46.

#54 [player_tooltip player_id='764182' first='Ava' last='Litecky'] – The lanky guard from Totino-Grace is Drange's teammate at [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] S40 where she has employed her pace, fluidity of movement and touch to enhance her value in the recruiting marketplace. Ava does a lot of things very well, but she has barely tapped into a wealth of talent waiting to be revealed. For now Litecky is up 10 places to #54. Who knows what is to come.

OTHER NOTABLE STOCK RISERS

There were five more players who moved up in the 2027 rankings by single digits:

+7 [player_tooltip player_id='665721' first='Peyton' last='Walker'] – The big guard from Proctor ([program_tooltip program_id='713214' first='Minnesota' last='Starks']) rises seven places to #35.

+5 [player_tooltip player_id='644101' first='Samira' last='Taylor'] – The athletic guard from DeLaSalle ([program_tooltip program_id='712700' first='Minnesota' last='Suns'] 2026 S40) is refining her game in a hurry. She's now at #32.

+5 [player_tooltip player_id='667779' first='Grace' last='Prose'] – The energetic guard from Mahtomedi ([program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan']) is a defensive dynamo who changes games. She's up 5 to #47.

+1 [player_tooltip player_id='654990' first='Kayla' last='Stork'] – The versatile guard from Byron ([program_tooltip program_id='712699' first='Minnesota' last='Rise']) goes up one to #31.

+1 [player_tooltip player_id='644107' first='Inarah' last='Nesbitt'] – The intriguing guard/forward from Hopkins ([program_tooltip program_id='713348' first='E1T1' last=''] Queens) is up one to #44.
