In her junior season at Mountain Iron-Buhl, Neyens averaged a team high 16.9 points per game, plus 3.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.5 steals, helping lead the team to a 30-2 overall record and another deep state tournament run. Already having set a precedent, we’re expecting big things from the bouncy, aggressive guard this season. Following a strong summer with the Minnesota Stars , coaches are going to want to see one the 5’7 guard, who is one of the most underrated seniors in the state.

+7 – One thing became obvious this summer as Anna traversed her way through AAU, first with North Tartan Elite and then at All Iowa Attack: She is the next big thing at MIB. The bouncy guard plays with pace and aggression. She has a motor that runs all day, a feel for the game, and the type of passion that can’t be measured. Anna also has quick feet, quick hands and a terrific skillset. She’s now a top 30 prospect, up 19 places this year.

Sunday was outstanding for the young Rangers guard. From the 3 x 3 play at the beginning of the day, all the way to the final buzzer of the last game of 5 x 5, Neyens played with a tremendous amount of energy and intensity. She was everywhere on the defensive end, displaying her quick lateral movement and ability to disrupt the passing lanes and apply ball pressure. On the other end of the floor Anna showed her speed, ability to read the defense and make well-timed cuts, and make the extra pass to an open teammate. She scored at multiple levels, driving to the basket and draining several long distance threes. Mountain Iron-Buhl will be building anew over the next couple years but look to be in great shape with Neyens running the show.
