Let’s Start Talking About Team Two

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Yesterday, we discussed everyone from Team One and highlighted what they did at the PGH Freshman Showcase. Today, we're doing the same thing for Team Two. Let's get into it.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='978534' first='Eva' last='Englebert']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The lefty from River Falls showed a well-rounded skillset as a lead guard. Englebert has more scoring tendencies than passing, but she's skilled enough to create her shot off the dribble at any time. Englebert showed some quickness off the dribble to get to her spots and shotmaking when she got to those spots. Offensively, she should be one of the more reliable creative pieces for the Wildcats this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='890152' first='Bella' last='Biese']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hortonville has a long history of producing talented kids. That's why they're always in the mix for Sectional and State Titles. Biese is a kid coming through the ranks that will eventually find a role with the Polar Bears over the next few seasons. The 5'10 wing has plenty of length, which helped her on the defensive end of the floor, contesting shots and keeping ball handlers in front of her. I also thought she moved the ball well in a situation that doesn't usually generate much ball movement, and she did a solid job of finishing around the basket. We'll see what her role looks like in her first season, but she'll find a way into their rotation at some point over the next few years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='889178' first='Tia' last='Anderson']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The future Deerfield guard was the distributor for her team. She attacked off the dribble when she got a chance to attack closeouts and showed some touch around the basket. However, she was looking to pass more than looking to score. She had a solid cross-court pass that led to a deep two by one of her teammates. She seemed like someone people would want to play with solely because she was actively trying to get everyone involved on the offensive end of the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='992508' first='Macy' last='Stremlow']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I never like comparing siblings to each other, but Macy plays with a similar amount of poise that Taylor played with at Verona. Nothing seemed to fluster her, and she just made plays that you had to smile at. Stremlow is a gifted finisher around the basket and showed off some improvised shots around the rim. She's fundamentally sound around the basket and can finish with both hands confidently. Stremlow has a high basketball IQ and has the skill to handle being a lead guard in the Big Eight. Verona has some talented kids in their backcourt, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Stremlow play prominent minutes this season for the Wildcats.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
