Saturday, Prep Girls Hoops Indiana held its annual Freshman Showcase to help identify several of the state's top Freshmen. With 90 prospects from the 2028 class in attendance, this provided an opportunity to see them compete head-to-head, as well as together, in a combination of 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games. The event was loaded with talent, making it difficult to limit the strong play to just a handful of players, so I wanted to circle back and discuss everyone from Teams 3 & 4. There will be additional articles highlighting Teams 5-10 over the next couple of days.

Team #3:

#172 [player_tooltip player_id='990167' first='Kenna' last='Taylor'], 5-7 PG, Homestead H.S. - [see her review here]

#234 [player_tooltip player_id='992374' first='Sophia' last='Bruce'], 5-3 PG, Pendleton Heights H.S. - Sophia is a quick, fast, and somewhat feisty little point guard prospect. She'll need to get stronger to absorb contact at the Varsity level, but she seems to understand the game, and she can create or make open shots.

#354 [player_tooltip player_id='992341' first='Brooklyn' last='Anderson'], 5-10 SF/PF, Lawrence North H.S. - I really like Brooklyn's potential, and she seemed to get better as the day went on. She is a long, wiry-strong athlete who runs & jumps well. She looks comfortable round the perimeter and in the mid-post.

#498 [player_tooltip player_id='992354' first='Jillian' last='Conrad'], 5-10 SF, Danville Community H.S. - Jillian is a long, wiry, and fluidly athletic wing. She will need to get stronger, but she played with nice versatility and looks like she has nice upside; she just needs time to finish growing.

#535 [player_tooltip player_id='992365' first='Maura' last='Grant'], 5-8 PF, LaPorte H.S. - Maura is a strong forward who didn't mind playing with physicality. She is a little undersized for how she plays, but she didn't seem to mind battling and rebounding against bigger prospects.

#855 [player_tooltip player_id='990958' first='Birkley' last='Schelsky'], 5-8 SG, Parke Heritage H.S. - [see her review here]

#860 [player_tooltip player_id='902152' first='Delaney' last='Noll'], 5-8 CG, Homestead H.S. - [see her review here]

#892 [player_tooltip player_id='933384' first='Leah' last='Werth'], 5-10 PF, Homestead H.S. - [see her review here]

#895 [player_tooltip player_id='953339' first='Haley' last='Wagoner'], 5-10 SF/PF, Center Grove H.S. - Haley had a strong day and nearly made our frontline article. She has a solid to strong frame, and she plays with nice versatility. She looked comfortable shooting it, putting it on the floor, and playing in the mid-post.

#897 [player_tooltip player_id='992140' first='Reagan' last='Reiff'], 5-11 PF, Fishers H.S. - [see her review here]

Team #4:

#157 [player_tooltip player_id='990942' first='Paisley' last='Crawford'], 5-7 SG, Westfield H.S. - Paisley is a long and wiry prospect who looks like she still might grow a little. She'll need time to add some strength, but I felt like she had a solid skillset and a good understanding of the game.

#168 [player_tooltip player_id='992353' first='Izabella' last='Ramsey'], 5-6 SG, Carmel H.S. - What stood out quickly about Izabella was her motor. She has nice length, she looked to be a good shooter from the perimeter, and as she finishes growing and adds strength, she could be a really nice prospect long-term.

#233 [player_tooltip player_id='989223' first='Alana' last='Martinez'], 5-3 PG, Portage H.S. - Alana is a little but quick point guard prospect. She plays hard and is always on attack. She loves to slice through the lane and score it around the basket or draw attention and find open teammates. She'll just need to keep getting stronger.

#250 [player_tooltip player_id='984355' first='Lola' last='Morelli'], 5-7 SG, Roncalli H.S. - Lola is a nice-looking athlete with a fairly strong frame, some length, and good all-around athleticism. She is also balanced skillfully. She can handle it a little in transition, knock down open rhythm jumpers, or attack the basket and finish.

#266 [player_tooltip player_id='992257' first='Mackenzie' last='Carter'], 5-8 SG/SF, Fort Wayne Snider H.S. - Mackenzie was another prospect who played with an outstanding motor. She has a versatile skillset and can take on a variety of roles. As she finishes growing and gets stronger, she should be a well-rounded prospect.

#387 [player_tooltip player_id='992335' first='Addie' last='Gates'], 5-3 PG, Roncalli H.S. - Addie is a shorter point guard prospect, but she has some strength at her size, and she does a nice job of playing compact and taking care of the ball. She has ball skill and plays with her head up, scanning the floor.

#626 [player_tooltip player_id='992336' first='Agnes' last='Pezzuto'], 5-9 SF, Marquette Catholic H.S. - Agnes could immediately add some depth to Marquette's roster. She is a solid athlete with wiry strength, and she flies around the floor trying to make plays. She has a solid skillset, and once she learns to change speeds, she'll be more efficient.

#888 [player_tooltip player_id='992369' first='Rhyan' last='Wagner'], 5-10 PF, Evansville Mater Dei H.S. - Rhyan seemed like a nice "glue" kid who quietly affects the game in different ways. She'll grab a big rebound, make a critical put-back, plus she played with effort and was a willing and versatile defender.

#960 [player_tooltip player_id='992138' first='Naomi' last='Oniyide'], 6-3 C, Brownsburg H.S. - [see her review here]
