In this article we speak about some prospects out of the 2027 Class in Iowa with bright futures ahead of themselves. Each individual has the skill-set to be a producer on their Varsity team this next few seasons, as long as they lock in and find their niche in whichever program they are competing with.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

[player_tooltip player_id='765744' first='Trinity' last='Whitefeather'] of Sioux City West was a contributor to her Varsity program as a Freshman last season and she is expected to return this Winter with much of the same role. That role being to lead her team from the Point Guard position. Whitefeather put together not only an impressive Freshman season of high school ball, she also followed that up with a successful campaign on the AAU scene with her Nebraska Attack GUAA program. During this time, the Attack helped her work on her individual skills, while showing her that she can be a vital asset to any team she laces up with. If Sioux City West wants to find more success this upcoming season, a big reason for it will be because of the play of Whitefeather.

Cedar Falls Varsity program is going to have to find more producers to take over the offensive workload this Winter with the loss of their past star, Grace Knutson due to graduation. Someone from their underclassmen group, who could prove to be an important piece in the grand scheme of things is SG, [player_tooltip player_id='908914' first='Taylor' last='Vore']. Vore is a natural Shooting Guard, with better than average size for her position at 5'11. Offensively, she has demonstrated on multiple occasions that she can make deep buckets on rotation, pass to an open teammate, or she can screen away from the ball to create space. Defensively, she is someone that can stick with alike size prospects around the perimeter, competing on each play coming down the floor. I'm curious how the coaching staff of Cedar Falls is going to come into this season more than anything but if they do come with a solid game-plan, they should see success in multiple ways before the season comes to a close.

Going into this Winter, The Mount Vernon Mustangs are going to be high on everyone's list. When you consider the facts that the Mustangs put together a great season a year ago, they have multiple collegiate athletes on their roster, they have a experienced coaching staff, and they all have the same common goal - to bring home a State Title. With all of that being in the mix, it's easy to assume that they are going to coast this Winter in a lot of contests they compete in if they take it seriously. Someone from their 2027 Class, who I think could eventually help them is Forward, [player_tooltip player_id='889729' first='Rylee' last='Rasmussen']. I don't think that Rasmussen will find a ton of time this Winter on the Varsity floor but she will have the chance to learn from a pretty impressive group. If she can play her role and act like a sponge, soaking up all the knowledge around her while competing hard, then she is going to be just fine. She just needs to stay locked in and the rest will be history.

[player_tooltip player_id='865264' first='Nataliya' last='Linder'] is a standout in multiple high school sports because of her natural height at just over 6'0. With the size that Linder possesses, the competition level that her North Mahaska team competes again, and the prospects around her, you can easily see her averaging a double-double throughout her high school career on the hardwood. Now will that happen? I'm not sure. From my understanding, with her height she is a natural athlete in a few different sports and she is getting some real college looks in those aspects. Either way, if her coaching staff can work on getting her open and they can find someone to throw her the ball after [player_tooltip player_id='311368' first='Breckyn' last='Schilling'] graduates following this Winter, she should produce.

A Player Rankings Update wouldn't be the same if we didn't mention Treynor High School in some capacity. Treynor is one of those programs that is always in the conversation for the State tournament because of their thorough mixture of gifted prospects and their game-plan. Someone from their younger group, that I think could be a main piece to their puzzle is guard, [player_tooltip player_id='883110' first='Kenner' last='Eblen']. Eblen is a 5'10 SG, that gives it her all on both sides of the ball. With her natural reach, her quick feet, and her court vision, she usual makes some noteworthy plays throughout whatever contest she is participating in and I think that "it" factor she has will help her Treynor program in the long run. I only had the chance to see Eblen compete live twice so far but I'll be in attendance this Winter to see this group again and I'm sure I'll see some fireworks while doing so.
