Keilah had an excellent event for WV Thunder Perry as he was very good on both ends of the floor in the two games I watched her team play against very good opponents. Mitchell plays the game with a lot of heart and great effort on almost every play. When Keilah was on the court the intensity of the action picked up significantly. She literally ran off the court and almost threw up in the trash can right next to me one point in the game. She plays that hard all the time. Mitchell really was impressive using her quickness and ball handling to blow by defenders routinely in the games I watched and then either got to the basket and scored or was fouled or found an open teammate when the help defender came. Keilah hit shots from both the midrange and behind the three point line in the games I saw in addition to shooting the ball well from the free throw line. Mitchell has very good size and used it well to make even the simple things like dribbling and passing the ball difficult for the player she matched up with defensively. She rebounds the ball well and did a good job getting the ball out in transition quickly. Mitchell had a big impact on both games I saw versus excellent competition not just with her energy and effort, but skills and proactive approach on offense with the ball in her hands.

Keilah is the younger sister of 6-5 Kaelyse Mitchell, who graduated in 2025. Keilah has grown a couple of inches since last year, but I’m doubtful she’ll get that tall, as Kaelyse was well over 6-0 when she entered high school. It doesn’t matter, though, as Keilah is a really nice wing prospect. She is strong, physical, and has an athletic frame, plus she can get out and run in transition well. She can handle it like a point forward at times, she likes to get downhill off the dribble offensively, and she isn’t afraid to get inside and draw contact. Her power wing approach is highly productive.

Mitchell was a terror up the sideline and on the wing, getting to the basket with elusive quickness and very good court awareness. She used a vast array of ball handling moves to get by and around defenders on the perimeter and embraced contact when she was met at the rim scoring through it. She valued each possession and did not try to create something that was not there, however when she saw any holes in the defense she attacked it under control and made the right basketball play. She plays on a very talented team that will be in front of plenty of college coaches over the next few months. I expect to see multiple offers by the end of that time period.

had what I believe was her best high school season to date, performing at a consistently high level throughout the year. What I really appreciate about her game is her willingness to do the little things that help her team win. She plays with a team-first mindset and impacts the game in a variety of ways that don’t always show up in the stat sheet.
She is extremely aggressive with the basketball and does a great job of attacking the rim. Keilah consistently puts pressure on the defense, getting downhill and finishing through contact. Her ability to stay assertive while still making smart decisions makes her a tough matchup for opponents.
What stands out most is her competitiveness and desire to win. She brings a strong motor every time she steps on the floor and plays with a level of intensity that sets the tone for her team. That type of mindset, combined with her aggressive play style, makes her an impactful player and one that continues to stand out.

Keilah is quickly making a name for herself in the Evansville area. The younger sister of Kaelyse Mitchell, a 6’5” freshman post at Marian University, Keilah is a long, athletic wing with a knack for attacking the rim. With her combination of length and athleticism, she has the tools to become one of the standout players in the Evansville area in the coming years.
