Virginia Tech is getting a dominating force with Amani Jenkins Amani Jenkins 6'2" | C Johnston | 2025 State IA in the lane. Jenkins, the 6’2 Center, is coming off of two awesome high school season as a junior and senior. Jenkins transfer into Johnston and helped lead the Dragons to two undefeated seasons. She also helped them to two consecutive 5A State Championships as well. As a player this is someone that understands her own ability and she has a lot of it. She can catch with her back and punish smaller defender near the bucket or she can work from the mid-rage and take her opponent to the outside. Defensively, she is someone that everyone has to worry about. If you don’t, she will probably come out of nowhere and get a tip or block in some form. It’s been a journey for Jenkins but it’s not over yet. Now she is ready to take things to the next level and show her worth in front of the Country. Something I’m sure she is excited about.
