She used a sudden crossover dribble to get by her defender with a burst, blew by, and scored with an inside finish at the rim. Aaliyah is a talented prospect who can be an immediate gamechanger for a college program. She was an impact player for Team 12 at the PGH Michigan Expo and looks poised for a big finale at Lakeview.

Following an All-Showcase Second Team/All-Defensive Team effort at the 2025 Expo, Aaliyah delivered a repeat performance, receiving All-Showcase Second Team honors at the Michigan State Showcase in March. If she doesn’t have college offers right now, Aaliyah certainly should have a handful of opportunities. She has that long/athletic frame that translates to the college game as a guard. Her quickness and swarming pressure gives opposing ball-handlers nightmares. Aaliyah is dynamic as a downhill driver, and she’s very difficult to stop from penetrating off the dribble. Aaliyah goes up strong in traffic, finishes around the basket with good body control, and has the versatility to play inside. She’ll be a prospect who draws a ton of interest from college coaches at The Expo on Saturday.

Aaliyah was one of the top performers for Team 3 at the PGH MI State Showcase and showcased her athleticism and versatility throughout the event. She scored the ball with confidence and made difficult finishes look easy thanks to her balance and body control around the rim. Aaliyah attacked gaps in the defense effectively and consistently found ways to create offense off the dribble. One of her standout plays came on a strong baseline drive where she delivered a sharp one-handed pass to the corner, showing excellent court vision and playmaking ability. Along with her scoring, she proved to be a very capable passer who created quality opportunities for her teammates all night long.

Aaliyah was one of the biggest stock risers at our PGH Expo in September. Her athleticism, length, lockdown defense, and prolific offensive abilities made her one of the brightest prospects in the gym. Aaliyah earned an All-Showcase Second Team selection and an All-Defensive Team selection. She showed explosiveness off the dribble and finished effectively at the rim. Aaliyah put herself on our radar at the showcase and is a Lakeview talent with the potential to keep climbing.

She was an excellent facilitator, dished out many assists, and her accurate passes helped everyone get looks at the basket. Aaliyah drained multiple three-pointers with sound shooting mechanics and turned on the jets to score a tough coast-to-coast layup in transition. Aaliyah powered through contact on a drive to score another layup and used a quick spin move to cause a foul–knocked down the free throw.
