Madisyn wasted little time showing her range during 3v3 action, knocking down deep back-to-back threes as part of an impressive shooting performance. She also connected from the mid-range and continued hitting shots from behind the arc once play moved into 5v5. Madisyn’s ability to create her own looks added another dimension, as her shifty handle allowed her to get downhill or create separation, including a smooth step-back into a mid-range jumper. She also converted an and-one and consistently showed good court vision as a passer. Madisyn was one of my top performers on the day, and her combination of deep shooting range, shot creation, and playmaking made her especially difficult for defenders to figure out.

Madisyn, playing on Team 9 at The Expo, was one of my top performers on the day and put together an impressive all-around showing from the guard position. During 3v3 action, she quickly showed her range by knocking down deep back-to-back threes, while also connecting on a mid-range jumper and creating for teammates with several well-timed dimes. In 5v5 play, Madisyn continued to show how difficult she can be to contain with the ball in her hands. She has a shifty handle, can get downhill, and sees the floor well when the defense begins to collapse. She continued to connect from behind the arc, converted an and-one at the rim, and created separation with a smooth step-back into a mid-range jumper. Madisyn was active defensively as well, showing good hands and creating one of her better transition opportunities by picking her defender’s pocket and taking the steal coast-to-coast. Her combination of shooting range, handle, court vision, ability to create off the bounce, and defensive activity made her one of the more complete guards I watched at The Expo.

Madisyn was a point guard to fear in the Flint area at Hamady before heading south to Texas for her junior season. She’s back in the mitten and looks ready to play a pivotal role in the backcourt for a Flint Powers Catholic team that won the SVL and made a trip to the D2 State Semifinals in March. Madisyn has been a Top Performer at the PGH Freshman Showcase and The Expo. Her ruthless ball pressure, shifty ball-handling, quick hands on defense, facilitating, assertive drives to the basket, and perimeter jumper will be difficult to match up against. Madisyn is a senior who will draw a lot of eyes at the PGH Expo. She holds offers from Detroit Mercy, Wayne State, SC4, and Wayne C.C.

Madisyn has the nickname of “Mad Dog,” and I’m expecting her pit bull-like ball pressure to give teams more than they can handle. She plays strong, moves quickly laterally, pokes the ball away with fast hands to create steals, and blows through gaps. As a facilitator and slasher, Madisyn will give Powers Catholic a major advantage at Michigan Jam Live 3v3. She’s shifty with the ball in her hands, and defenders will have a difficult time keeping her from getting to the rim.

Madisyn, a point guard for Powers Catholic, will be a strong addition this season now that she is back in Michigan, and she showed exactly why with a solid performance at Northwood Team Camp. She plays with a shifty handle and uses a strong crossover to consistently get by defenders and create advantages off the dribble. Madisyn knocked down multiple shots from beyond the arc and also showed her touch in the lane with a soft floater over defenders. She does a great job of drawing multiple defenders when attacking downhill and then finding the open teammate with smart, timely passes. On the defensive end, she added value as well, turning a steal into a coast-to-coast finish in transition.

Madisyn is back in the Mitten for her senior season and looks ready to help Powers Catholic make another deep playoff push after a strong showing at BCAM Reaching Higher. Her pressure and instincts in the passing lanes created multiple steals. She jumped a pass on the perimeter for a steal and took it the rest of the way for the fast break finish. Madisyn created space with a shifty iniside-out dribble up top and went by with a burst to score a left-handed finish in traffic off two feet. She made a quick transfer to her left hand for a catch and finish and absorbed contact well to score with soft touch off the glass. Madison showed her outside range, sinking a triple from the slot and added a deep three-pointer from the wing. She dropped in a contested floater and fired a one-handed entry pass on a rope to a cutter for an assist. Her ability to penetrate defenses off the dribble is going to create wide open looks for the many offensive weapons for Powers this year.

Madisyn was a top ten Michigan prospect when she played at Flint Hamady and I’m excited to see her back in the Mitten for the PGH MI College Tour III. She’s a bulldog on defense. Her quick lateral feet, compact build, athleticism, toughness, and disruptive pressure stress out opposing guards. Madisyn is an excellent facilitator who slashes to the rim with a burst and scores through contact. All-Tournament First Team at the PGH Great Lakes Kickoff and will be an elite point guard to watch this weekend with MBA GUAA 17U.

Makes good decisions with the ball, excellent passer with court vision. She seemed to get better and better as the game went on. Knocked down a big three to give her team the advantage in the first half. Mega talented kid!

Madisyn was an effective floor general for Michigan Crossover PUMA 16U at April Showers on Saturday. She made extra passes from the corner to open teammates and fired long passes up the court to teammates. Madisyn created turnovers with her defensive pressure and hit the deck to wrestle for 50/50 balls. She energized the team by taking a charge on defense, buried a straightaway 3, and attacked downhill with a burst to score layups.

Madisyn used her quickness and aggression to gain the advantage against guards on both sides of the floor. She beat defenders off the dribble and scored a layup over a help defender using a crafty high pick-up move. Madisyn created transition offense for her team by creating turnovers defending the ball. She knocked down multiple 3s off ball screens from the perimeter and had an all-around solid performance at The Expo on Saturday, earning her All-Showcase Second Team Honors.
