Clark is a great creator on offense. She is quick on the dribble and catch change directions as good as anyone. That allows her to be a good fast-break scorer and overall paint scorer. Clark also does a good job at recognizing help defense on her drives to the bucket. If a defender helps, she often can deliver a pass to her open teammate.

Clark also has a high-arcing jumper that she can hit routinely in games.

Ms. Reliable. This young lady gets after it. She knows how to use her body in tight spaces and is effective both in open space and within the confines of an offense. She can score from all three levels. I love her ability to change pace and quickly get into a shooting motion. She is a scoring threat from many spots, but don’t sleep on her defense. She heads across town to a new school, and I expect her to bring it right from the start. She is a solid prospect that is going to turn some heads. Fundamentally sound, look for her to uplift her new squad as they get after it.

 A heady floor general who will bring her talent across town from CA to Clarksville. Wearing purple and gold, Layla will be stability to the PG position. A kid who is an efficient playmaker, she can create off the bounce using her speed to get to favorable spots. A selfless leader, she knows when to go or just run the show. She understands the game and knows where the weak spots are in a defense. From ball handling to finishing through contact, her offensive game has risen over the years. Defensively, she is as solid as they come. Picks up fulls and turns her opponent left and right. Her activity brings chaos, which leads to transition buckets going the other way. Clarksville is getting a steal in a kid, and college coaches are taking notice of this special talent moving through the Clarksville area.

Another tough player that impressed me in the one game I watched. She was probably the fastest player with the ball that I saw. She has serious speed and gets to the basket at will. She’s strong and compact so she was able to finish at a pretty good rate. She also delivered some accurate passes and played good defense.

One of the best parts of Clark’s game is how effective she is when attacking downhill. Clark has a number of scoring moves she can go to around the basket. One example is that she can score off a euro step, and when she gets to the front of the rim, she is capable of scoring with her left or right hand. She also has a good touch floater that she can go to in her bag of offensive tricks.

Clark, in transition, is also a great passer. She does a good job at waiting for the best opportune time to strike her teammate in stride to get them the best look at an open shot.

Clark is also a high-level three-point shooter. She is more than comfortable in shooting off the dribble or catch. Her jumper has a noticeably high arc on it, helping her get more opportunities to get her perimeter shot off than the average high school PG.

She’s a heady floor general who is solid with the ball in her hands. She can get to the rim, run an offense efficiently, distribute the rock to open teammates, and defend. She’s a great on-ball defender, causing havoc the full length of the floor. Don’t let the size fool you, this kid is a player. She’s a kid who is going to give it her all and compete every second she is on the floor. Look for her breakthrough to come soon. 

 A quiet-natured kid whose game speaks volumes. Speed kills, and that’s something special this young lady has. A 3-level scoring threat that can handle the rock, knock down shots from various spots, but is a menace on the defensive end. She brings a lot to the table, and her game spearheads those around her as she brings the energy and effort. A talented kid who is looking to prove not that she is one of the best in the district, but also that her squad is on the upswing and will be in the top heap of the division for years to come.

Quiet-natured, her game speaks volumes, and she is ready to take over the helm at Clarksville Academy. She can play with the ball or off the ball, but her contributions are felt throughout. She has a solid 3-ball she will unleash, utilize her speed to get to the cup, but what I love about her most is that she isn’t afraid to work downlow. She rebounds, gets to the rim finishing off two; she just knows how to use her body in tight spaces. She is also a defensive stopper, getting tons of steals and deflections. Look for her to keep ascending and become a real prospect from this Lady Cougars program.

Solid PG who is truly a chef/ floor general for her CA ball club. I know no one is perfect, but this kid gives their best on each and every possession. Has minimal mistakes, but goes out there and competes her tail off. She can score from multiple spots on the floor, facilitate the rock, but her calling card is her defense. She is going to get after it, making it tough for the opponent to work. She is a hardworking kid who plays the game at another level. Look for her to continue to thrive and become something special that will help lead the CA ballclub to new heights.

Yes, she is the coach’s daughter, but doesn’t play like a typical coach’s kid. You know, some kids just play because their dad or mom is the coach. Not this girl. She has earned everything. She is a heady ball player who has good court awareness. Can score it from multiple spots. Defend like crazy. Active hands and feet, eliminating the opposition. Layla will see significant minutes this upcoming year. Look for her to be involved in every statistical category.
