About Amirrah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my game as versatile, athletic, and competitive. I play both guard and wing positions, and I like to impact the game in multiple ways by scoring, defending, rebounding, and pushing the pace in transition. One of my strengths is using my speed and athleticism to create opportunities for myself and my teammates. I take pride in playing hard on both ends of the floor.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a very competitive person who always wants to improve. I like to be challenged because it pushes me to get better. I would describe my personality as positive, coachable, and hardworking. I try to stay confident, even when things don’t go perfectly, and I focus on learning from mistakes. I’m also someone who enjoys encouraging my teammates and bringing good energy to the team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm involved in multiple activities. I participate in theatre, a member of the Girl Scouts; I'm an Ambassador for an Environmental Justice Program, where we work to raise awareness and fight pollution. I’m also active in my church through dance ministry and community outreach programs like feeding the homeless. I've received multiple awards including Dean's list and perfect attendance.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through basketball, school, and church activities, I’ve developed leadership, teamwork, and responsibility. Being part of teams has taught me how important communication and trust are, and I try to lead by example with my effort and attitude. Community service has helped me understand the importance of giving back and supporting others, which I believe also makes me a better teammate and person.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is learning how to balance school, sports, and personal time while still performing at a high level. It has taught me discipline, time management, and how to stay focused on my goals. I’ve also learned that improvement takes patience and consistency, and that challenges are opportunities to grow stronger mentally and physically.I’m looking for a college where I can grow bo

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can grow both academically and athletically. I want a program that will challenge me, help me develop my skills, and support me as a student. Finding a positive team culture and coaches who believe in me and push me to reach my potential is very important to me.
