Jayla was a highly productive presence for Michigan Storm, consistently finding ways to score and control the glass. She was especially effective operating from the high post, where she attacked decisively off the dribble and got to the basket with ease. Once in the paint, Jayla displayed excellent finishing fundamentals, keeping the ball protected and converting opportunities around the rim. She also did a great job establishing position on the block, using strong seals to create scoring chances for herself. Beyond her offensive production, Jayla made a significant impact on the boards, collecting rebounds at a high rate on both ends of the floor and providing her team with valuable extra possessions throughout the game.

Jayla, a left-handed post for Team 1, impressed with her strength and effort throughout the PGH Expo. She battled on the boards with toughness, consistently fighting for rebounds on both ends of the floor. While she did the dirty work inside, she also showed flashes of her versatility, grabbing a defensive rebound and pushing it coast to coast with confidence. Her combination of power, work ethic, and skill makes her a steady presence in the paint.

Jayla competed hard at HYPE for Renni and her determination made a great impression on the court. Her combination of length and effort resulted in many rebounds. Jayla drove hard to score an and-one layup and then sealed her defender to score another strong and-one off two feet. She stole the ball away and converted a smooth reverse layup. Jayla closed out hard to block a shot on the perimeter and had an effective day for the Phoenix.

Adams was a tremendous influence in the paint in all aspects of her game. This most definitely included her post defense. Offensive players had to be constantly aware of what they dribble driving into, as Adams had the look of a top notch rim protector.

Jayla played aggressive basketball for team 4 at our Freshman Showcase. She crashed the boards hard and battled inside to secure rebounds. Jayla scored multiple layups off two and drove hard off the dribble to get to the free-throw line. She used a quick spin dribble to score with her left at the rim and added another bucket off a baseline out-of-bounds play. Jayla is a high-motor competitor who will develop into a key contributor on a talented Renaissance team this winter.
