There is something to be said about left-handed players’ shots looking better than they are most of the time, but I’ve become a believer in Reetz’s game over the past six months. She is a competitive kid who will get after it on the defensive end and has some chippiness to her game. However, I believe her jumper is better than she’s shown at the high school level, and she has looked more confident than she did back in November.

The Winneconne native is an off-ball wing who can space the floor and knock down shots from beyond the arc. However, she is a player who is comfortable using a pump fake and getting into the mid-range area to score off a dribble. There is plenty of room for her to grow, but I think her competitiveness makes me believe that whatever her ceiling may be, she’ll reach it.

Ari is automatic from the line, and does a great job finding paths to the basket! Reetz keeps her dribble alive, and makes smart choices in keeping the ball in the middle of the court. She is tough shooting off the dribble! You have to guard her from mid court because her range is limitless! And she sticks like glue on D! (Below on defense)

Ari Reetz plays aggressively on defense. She hustles for loose balls and makes a significant impact by creating second-chance opportunities. She has an impressive left-handed shooting stroke and is a major threat from beyond the arc as demonstrated by her five three-pointers in her varsity debut which contributed to her total of 19 points in that game. She also handles the ball well and makes smart moves by utilizing speed changes. I’m looking forward to seeing how she plays the remainder of the season as defenses zoom in on her as a shooting threat. She is definitely impressive as a freshman on the varsity stage.
