About Asa
Expert Analysis
Bret Swanson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Snyder is best suited off the ball as more of a catch-shoot player. She played 4 solid seasons for the Lady Cyclones and saw plenty of minutes on the hardwood over the years. Asa can keep defenders honest with her ability to knockdown the 3-ball from behind the line. She really plays the game to the fullest at all times and doesn’t mind taking on some contact throughout the night.
Several times this season she saw double teams or a box in one thrown on her. Asa has very solid academics in the classroom.

Asa plays best generally off the ball as a shooter. Snyder can set up for shots on the perimeter and usually maintain good shot selection in doing so for the Lady Cyclones. Asa will handle the ball-handling duties at times, but she makes most of her noise when she is shooting the rock.
Look for Asa to have a big season for the Lady Cyclones in the SCISA ranks.

Snyder is listed at 5-foot-7 and can certainly look back at her final go-round in the AAU realm with a proud look on her face. Among the events her TMP team were present at were Peach Games in Atlanta (part of the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit’s Triumph Region) and the Lowcountry Summer Shootout which took place at Summerville HS. Ball handling, ball distribution, scoring and lockdown defense are among the hallmarks of Snyder’s complete game. The lone SCISA representative on our list, she will enter the 2022-23 season with the Cyclones competing in its new 4A category.
