A few programs tend to produce kids who play hard and can fit into any style of play, and Eau Claire Memorial is one of them. She defends with effort and will fly to both ends of the floor without sweating. The way Schroeder defends alone is worth a look from regional programs if she wants to play at the next level. She hasn’t announced anything yet and may not want to play at the next level, but she’s an excellent talent. She has a home at the next level if she wants to pursue basketball.

Eau Claire Memorial is littered with talented wings that can do a little of everything and has been the last few years, and Schroeder is another one. The Eau Claire native is an excellent perimeter defender. She’s a good athlete, and I remember the first time I saw her a few summers ago at the Midwest Kickoff in Minnesota and how disruptive she was in her Team Wisconsin ‘s full-court press. I’ve also thought she can shoot it well enough to where defenses couldn’t allow her to be wide open. I’m sure she’s good at multiple sports, but basketball is more than an option for her.
