Ava is someone not many small colleges are aware of, but they should be. She has a solid to strong, athletic frame, nice length, and she moves well in most directions. She is more so smooth than explosive, but she can affect a game at either end of the floor because of it. She is a steady ball-handler and can initiate offense, she can knock down an open rhythm jumper, and she does well absorbing contact upon attack. She also rebounds her position, and she can defend multiple positions equally effectively.

This was my first opportunity to see Ava play, and I was fairly intrigued by her game. She seems to see the floor well and have a nice all-around feel for the position. She can find open teammates, pull up in the mid-range, or knock down an open rhythm 3-pointer. I also liked her effort at the defensive end of the floor. Ava has an athletic frame, and I feel like she could be a really nice long-term prospect for some of the Midwest’s better small colleges.
