Whenever #1 CCA needs something to happen, they call upon Averie Lower Averie Lower 6'0" | SG/CG Clear Creek-Amana | 2026 State #100 Nation IA to set the tone by letting a shot fly from anywhere behind the three point line. The crazy part? That shot is going to fall a majority of the time. It’s been so automatic with some of the Clippers sets this Winter that as soon as you see the play start to unfold, you should just start walking back down the floor the other way because it’s going to be cash with all the situational stuff not playing a factor. Things like how far it is away, if she is being contested, what type of screen it’s off of or anything in-between doesn’t phase her and it’s noteworthy. Lower is currently 38 for 76 this Winter from distance and her team is ranked #1 in the 4A Class with an undefeated record. Not a bad situation from the sound of it. At some point this Winter an opposing team will need to send 2 or 3 to defend this one if they really want to see what the Clippers are made out of and I can’t wait to see how they respond.
