Most Outstanding Player honors would be bestowed upon the senior star of 4A Camden who led South Carolina with a 20-point performance. On any All-Star team, it can be difficult for a coach to choose a starting five. Having Alexander in that starting five paid dividends for the Palmetto State assembling because of her scoring and rebounding prowess. A commit to Tennessee State, she not only earned looks from college coaches because of her being a walking double-double but did so because of her shot-blocking capabilities. Alexander would average 15.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.5 blocks in her senior campaign with the Bulldogs.

The best of teams know how to exploit matchup problems for an opponent. Alexander is the definition of a matchup problem for many a foe. In the Girls Night Out nightcap between her 4A Camden team and 5A Division 2 host Goose Creek, Alexander concluded her night out with a 25-point performance. Alexander also brought down 14 rebounds for a double-double. In addition to making this difficult for opposing bigs and limiting second-chance point opportunities for an opponent with her rebounding, Alexander displayed her overall versatility with her willingness to attempt shots from long range and with her ball-handling capabilities. Tennessee State anxiously awaits her arrival following this season as she will be a freshman at the Nashville-based HBCU following her putting on a Camden cap and gown.

Whether Alexander has worn an Andrew Jackson, a Legion Collegiate or (currently) a Camden uniform, she has built a solid profile as one of the premier bigs in the Palmetto State. Once her final season is in the books, Alexander will head to Tennessee State to play her collegiate ball. She played in 32 of the Lancers’ 35 contests last season, averaging a double-double of 16.8 points and 10.8 rebounds plus 2.3 steals and 1.3 blocked shots per game. Alexander brings that same level of production in her first and only season sporting Bulldogs colors and coach Lewis Mungo’s team will remain in the 4A state contenders’ conversation.

In many ways, Alexander was one of the elder stateswoman of the field at Da Future Showcase being a 2026. What impressed about Alexander’s performance was how she did well in midrange shooting drills. One may not expect that from a traditional big such as Alexander who thrives as a scorer, rebounder and shot blocker in the paint but she found success away from the rim. Alexander’s transfer from Legion Collegiate to 4A Camden due to the Lancers becoming a SCHSL school (and losing playoff eligibility for the upcoming season) was one of the stories of the offseason. Her becoming a Bulldog will ensure coach Lewis Mungo’s team remains among the class of the 4A field.

Another of the Palmetto State’s premier patrollers of the paint, Alexander averaged a double-double of 16.8 points and 10.8 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.3 blocks per game for the Lancers and similar numbers this season for the Bulldogs will keep Camden firmly in the 4A contenders’ chat.

There are few better ways than to put a bow on someone’s AAU career than how Alexander did with her Phoenix Elite 17U team. It was one of the 2026 teams that was at the Lakepoint Sports Complex in north Georgia. She and her team went undefeated at War Games and were crowned champions at ATL Summer Slam. Alexander is undoubetedly one of the premier bigs in the state and she already has championship hardware from her stint at 2A Andrew Jackson. Her interior presence will be a major lift to Camden as coach Lewis Mungo’s Bulldogs will once again be among the class of the 4A field. She was also recently awarded with an offer from Tennessee State and its head coach – WNBA champion Candice Dupree. Lenoir-Rhyne and its coach Emry Tsitouris also offered Alexander.

Lakiara Alexander had some tough makes from the block scoring through contact and making the old fashioned three point play. She’s tough protecting the basket blocking shots, and she grabs rebounds on both ends. She cleans up the glass on the offensive side.

Following back-to-back 3A state championships, Camden was denied a berth at a third consecutive state ring thanks to Westside in last season’s 4A Upper State playoffs. As the kids say nowadays, the Bulldogs want their “lick back” and Alexander is sure to help greatly as she enters her final season in the high school ranks. Alexander’s high school career has included stops at Legion Collegiate and Andrew Jackson – where she was part of the 2023-24 state championship team. Alexander averaged a double-double of 16.8 points and 10.8 rebounds plus 2.3 steals and 1.3 blocks per game to lead last season’s Lancers to a 22-13 record and she recently landed an offer from North Carolina Central University.
