Larson showed significant improvements in her overall skillset last month when we watched her at the PGH Sophomore ID Camp. Capable of providing a scoring presence on the low block, the 6’0 power forward showed no hesitation when it came to stretching her game out beyond the arc. Brooklyn has a smooth, high-arcing release on her shot, allowing her to knock down threes with ease. Defensively, her length is a factor against most opponents. With three all-conference players graduating for Centennial, Larson will have plenty of opportunity to play a bigger role for the Cougars in her sophomore season. She joins the rankings at #107.

Both long and lanky, Larson is a 6’0 forward whose game doesn’t just live in the paint. While she is certainly capable of scoring from the block on offense and protecting the rim on defense, the Centennial sophomore’s greatest attribute is her versatility. While she’s not the quickest player on the court, Brooklyn’s ability to stretch the floor and take her game out to the perimeter helped open things up significantly for Team 6. On top of that, she isn’t afraid to let the ball fly from three. Last winter, Larson appeared in 17 games for the Cougars, carving out a rotational spot for herself on the varsity roster. This season we expect to see her take on even more.

Larson showed off her versatility on both ends of the floor at the Freshman Showcase. On the offensive end, the 6’0 forward can play down low in the paint, but is mobile enough to work the perimeter, as well. Brooklyn is a capable three-point shooter and likes to attack the basket from the left side. On the defensive end, the Centennial freshman’s ample length makes her a shot-blocking threat. Having already earned some varsity playing time in her 8th grade season, Larson is likely to fill a larger role for the Cougars this winter.
