Lightfoot got off to a solid start at the Sophomore ID Camp. While her day was ultimately cut short by injury, the 5’5 guard was on the floor long enough to show her scrappy, physical play on both ends of the floor. Already ranked 65th in the Prep Girls Hoops 2029 rankings, Peyton is a crafty, high IQ combo guard who is relentlessly competitive and never gives up on a possession. In her freshman season at Delano, Lightfoot worked her way into the varsity rotation, providing key minutes off the bench for the Tigers. After watching her play with North Tartan 15U EYCL this summer, we think she’s ready to take things up a notch in her sophomore season.

Lightfoot’s game is that of a player well beyond her years. The 5’5 freshman from Delano plays with confidence, poise, and a lofty basketball IQ. Not the tallest of guards in the class, Peyton uses her strength to her advantage, absorbing contact and playing with a high degree of physicality. She is a relentless force on defense, bringing energy and intensity to every possession. Lightfoot is crafty and creative with the ball on offense, using her tight handle to create space off the dribble. Peyton excels as both a midrange and three-point shooter, using her well-honed step-back to create space from her defender.

Lightfoot is a fearless, physical guard who thrives on intensity. Strong and stocky, she uses her body well despite a lack of height. Peyton creates separation, and confidently knocks down step-backs from mid-range and deep. As she did this summer with North Tartan Elite this summer, she showed poise and creativity at the Showcase, slipping through defenses and delivering under pressure. Vocal and energetic, Lightfoot leads by example and competes relentlessly.
