About Brooklyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play super fast transition style basketball, eyes up, scanning the court, looking to find the open teammates or attack the rim. My favorite part of basketball is playing defense. I love to sit back and wait for the steal or let someone think they are really going to get the three point shot off just in time for me to block it.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

God first and just play hard every single time I step on the court always having a winning attitude. I have a super fun, carefree, and enthusiastic but focused personality.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, President of Pawhuska FCA, Pawhuska Student Council Member, First Baptist Church Member, Member of Business Professionals of America, and Pawhuska Academic Club. Also, I am a Pawhuska cheerleader, softball player, and run track.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership I have is helping my school and club teams strive to be better humans in the eyes of God on and off the court. I would say my character speaks for itself I am very respectful and grateful for everyone. I help out in my community by volunteering to help Pawhuska youth by teaching them basketball skills in my off time, and volunteering to work concession, gate, clock, or keep book at game

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve had to adjust and learn how to play with different teammates and go from playing AAU basketball which is played at a really fast pace to high school basketball my freshman year which was more slower pace. I’ve learned that not every coach coaches the same, but they all mean the same thing in a sense.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m allowing God to lead the way. Some things what I want out of a college is a diverse experience, a campus and culture that has the same beliefs as myself, that has an excellent nursing and pre-med program, that has staff that are going to be there to help me if I ever struggle, and just a college where it feels safe just like being at home.
