The Middleton native is a skilled guard who has developed well over the past year. Krueger earned minutes on the Cardinals varsity team last season and learned from her mistakes. I thought she was more confident and decisive with the ball and never wasted time with it. I also think she learned where she’s most comfortable scoring and makes a point to get to those spots off the dribble. She could have a breakout season in the Big Eight this winter.

Krueger, as no surprise to me, was one of the top players at The Expo a couple of Sunday’s ago. Confident ballhandler, Hanson commands the floor, gets to her spots with ease, and sets up her teammates for high percentage scoring opportunities. She also showed game changing ability both on the glass and defensively where she knows when to pick and choose her spots to shoot in for steals.

I thought Krueger was among the most impressive players at the event last weekend. She was confident and attacked her spots with a purpose. She scored from all three levels and wasn’t fazed by her defender. She knows where she wants to go and where she feels she’s most effective, and gets to those spots whenever she wants. Last season, you could tell she was thinking about what she was going to do; in Appleton, she just played, reacted, and looked excellent.
