What stood out most during Slamfest was her growth in overall feel for the game. Caeley looked more comfortable reading defenses, moving without the basketball, and making quick decisions in traffic. She competed with energy on both ends and embraced physical play throughout the weekend.

Defensively, Upshaw has the tools to become a strong two-way guard. Her length and activity helped disrupt passing lanes while her effort level stayed consistent possession after possession. She showed toughness rebounding around the perimeter and was willing to battle against stronger players.

As her shooting consistency and overall offensive polish continue to improve, Caeley has the upside to become a very productive guard in Louisiana’s 2029 class. Ruston Slamfest gave another glimpse of a player whose confidence, aggressiveness, and overall game are steadily evolving in the right direction.
