I’m not a big stat person.. but I would love to see an entire stat break down on Leydens impact on the outcome of a game. Her +/- has to be in the positives in most of them. From second chance points, assists, rebounds, steals, deflections.. you name it Leyden does it. The energy she puts out on every possession wether she touches the ball or not is refreshing to watch. There’s something to say about a player who doesn’t need to be asked to give full effort. Hell of a talent and high potential.

*Not Present* Leyden wasn’t at the scrimmage, however I’ve watched a decent amount of her games over the last couple of weekends.. and the kid is still legit. She plays on the block in high school, and plays more the wing position for AAU. The ability to switch your skill set depending on the teams need sounds easy, but to remain impactful when doing it is another. Leyden can score from the arc, the mid and for sure at the rim. So much talent, and an even higher upside.

A hard nosed guard/wing that is reliable and active. Leyden can score in a various ways while also being aggressive in the open floor as well. She has tons of toughness to her game as well.

The ability to score at all levels, but in a multitude of ways is something to give credit to. Leyden has that. She has a tough aura about her that’s matched with an aggressive play style, but not aggressive to the point where she plays outside of herself. Energetic on the opposing side of the ball and the boards as well. Tough, relentless and unbothered.. Caitlyn will definitely be making more noise over the circuit in her first season with Chicago Hoops Express.

A versatile Shooting Guard who can play any of the Guard positions with her skill set and high-IQ, Leyden is a tough matchup for most players at the high school level. She is a talented shooter who can take defenders off the dribble from the perimeter or score in transition with her willingness to run the floor consistently. When matched-up with smaller players, Caitlin also has the ability to step down to the low block and score with her physicality and strong finishes.
