Expert Analysis

Callen played a great senior season. She displayed excellent senior leadership and toughness. She played the last few games of the season with a broken pinky! Fosher really came on strong towards the end of the year and was one of the most consistent players on the Mustangs. She played with tremendous effort and was a great teammate. I appreciate her coachability and eagerness to improve. Her frame, effort, strength, and enthusiasm will transfer nicely to the college level. She finished the season averaging 11.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, included 3 offensive rebounds per game.

Fosher is one of my favorite players and I am excited to see her perform this season as a senior. She has a very high ceiling as a player and is going to get her college career started down South at Central Arizona College. If she commits to the process of getting better, she will leave after two seasons and be ready to be a key contributor at a quality 4-year school. Callen is a true 6′ and has the rare combination of speed, size, strength, and athleticism. She has All-EDC talent and just needs to piece together enough games to put her on that coveted list this season.

Callen is a very good player and someone who will have her best season yet as a senior. She has continued to improve each season and I think she will thrive next season with more freedom to operate around the basket. She is a tough, strong, and physical 6′ forward who isn’t afraid of contact. She is exceptional at drawing fouls and is a very good free-throw shooter. Callen is the type of player who always sprints the floor and is good for a sneaky rim-run bucket or two per game. I think Callen will be critical to Sheyenne’s success in 2025-2026.

Callen is starting to gain some traction in her recruiting journey as she progresses through the start of the AAU season and into her senior season. A handful of junior colleges and even some D2 schools have started to look at Callen. She is a true 6′ and has really gotten stronger these past few years. She runs the floor hard and is fast for her size. She isn’t afraid to be physical around the hoop and she can also stretch the floor by shooting the three.

Callen makes the list because of how she consistently does the ‘little things’ all the time. It doesn’t matter the opponent, the score, or the time of day, you can count on Callen to do things the right way. She always sprints the floor in transition. She always finds her girl for a quality boxout. She always sprints off of the floor when she is subbed off and gives her bench high fives. Callen is consistently excellent at the things that help you win.

Callen is another player who has done a nice job of settling in this season and has played really well the previous couple of weeks. She has utilized her athleticism and strength on her drives to the basket and is doing a great job at finishing at the rim. She gets to the free-throw line a lot of times each game and is able to knock them down. Callen can also step out and hit the three.

Callen is a good sized, athletic player. She has the ability to defend multiple positions and is a good rebounder. Callen has worked tirelessly this offseason to improve her game. I look for Callen to be a pivotal piece to the Mustangs success on both sides of the floor. Callen’s positive attitude, size, and athleticism bring significant upside to her college recruitment.
