Cora is an incredible defensive presence down low with her height. She can alter shooters by the rim just be her intimidating height. Cora is one of the top rebounders in the EDC and does a nice job of keeping possessions alive. She has also become a threat from the perimeter, shooting 36% from behind the arc.

Cora had a solid game against the Demons scoring 8 points and recording 11 rebounds and 2 blocks. What was a nice surprise was Cora going 2/2 from behind the arc. This must have been something Cora has worked on in the offseason and will allow Sheyenne to stretch the floor on the offensive end by pulling out opposing teams’ centers. Cora has great timing defensively and is very difficult to score on around the rim. She keeps blocked shots in play which allows the Mustangs to go straight into their transition offense game.

Something you might hear coaches say is that “you can’t teach height.” Cora is a true 6’4 and provides tremendous value to the Mustangs. She is an outstanding defender, hardly ever leaving her feet to block shots. She does a great job of positioning herself to defend without fouling. The Omaha volleyball commit will have a great season, improving her rebounding along with a more efficient scoring average. Look for Cora to be a lock for All-Conference.
