McCloud is a transfer from one 4A school in Indian Land to another 4A school in South Pointe. She has proven to be a major reason why the Stallions have began the season with an undefeated 7-0 mark as of this writing. She keeps opposing teams guessing as it appears that there can be more than one of her on the floor. McCloud’s 5-foot-8 frame certainly comes in handy when rebounding and the contact she draws will lead to her connecting on her free throw opportunities. She can also prepare to box out in case of a missed free throw. McCloud scored 12 points at the A1 Hoops Report-hosted She Got Next event at White Knoll HS where her team was locked in a tight overtime contest with two-time defending champion Military Magnet.

McCloud previously wore the uniform of Indian Land before transferring and sporting the signature red of the Stallions. McCloud was everywhere on the floor for the Stallions in what was an intense matchup against a battle-tested defending 1A champion Military Magnet. Rebounding and the preparedness to box out in case of a missed free throw attempt are among the things she does well. McCloud is 5-foot-8 and typically does much of her work as a shooting guard. A team’s rebounding capabilities are also helped with her on a roster and she can connect at the free throw line. She finished with 12 points in the contest against the Eagles.

Coach Stephanie Butler-Graham’s Stallions squad finished 16-8 last season along with a 7-1 mark in conference. If 4A South Pointe needed a replacement for the now graduated Najah Lane (who is now at Johnson C. Smith in Charlotte), they found a formidable one in McCloud. She comes to the Stallions from Indian Land. McCloud displays her versatility with how she can play minutes primarily at the three but also as a two. She helps a team’s rebounding abilities, knows how to find the open teammate, will reject plenty of shots as a defender and can come away with steals to create extra possessions for her team. She has also played soccer throughout her career and her brother, Nick, is a Buffalo Bills cornerback.

McCloud flies somewhat under the radar in an area where high school ballers receive plenty of attention. She also plays as the goalie for the Warriors soccer team. McCloud has no problems receiving passes on the perimeter and turning those into 3-point makes. She assumed team captaincy duties for Indian Land last season. McCloud is versatile where she can play productive minutes as either a two guard or a three forward and has a skillset that includes rebounding, ball distribution, shot blocking and coming away with steals. She comes from a sports family as her brother, Nick, plays cornerback for the Buffalo Bills.

McCloud is the only senior on our list and plays in the northernmost areas of Lancaster County near Charlotte – not exactly what we would term as “off the grid.” She shared the team captaincy duties from last season with one of the seniors who has now graduated. McCloud competed in all 21 games for the 4A Warriors last season and managed to pace Indian Land with her scoring, rebounding and defense as a collector of steals and a shot blocker. She averaged 18.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 1.1 blocks per game in 2021-22. McCloud can play productive minutes as either a two or as a three.
