It’s probably not a good idea to play zone when she’s on the court. Charley is a sniper who does a good job of getting her feet set before the shot to line it up. She doesn’t seem to get rushed often and plays well within the team while finding her open spots to launch. She’s a player you would need to play man against, or at least not double off of, because she will find the open areas on the court to get her shot off.

As a former military history instructor, there are so many famous “hills” in the military lexicon, including Bunker Hill, Culp’s Hill, San Juan Hill, and Hamburger Hill. Maize South’s Hill is a feisty guard I would want on my side in a battle. She can drain the three and plays solid defense. She is ranked No. 77 overall by Prep Girls Hoops Kansas. The Maverick guard recently received an offer from Fort Scott Community College.

Hill parlayed a 13-point performance in the Class 5A State Tournament into a climb up the rankings. She is a solid threat from 3-point range and runs the floor well. Hill, like the rest of the Class of 2026, will want to return to the site on April 8 to see how high up the rankings she climbed. I saw her play twice for the Mavericks this past season. She was usually one of the first three players off the bench for Maize South. She posted quality minutes and could be leaned on even more next season.
