Speer’s toughness on both ends of the floor is what sets her apart. Quick, feisty, and physical, the 5’6 North Tartan SE guard defends smartly, using her speed and pesky energy to frustrate opponents. On offense, Scarlett’s ability to change pace allows her to take advantage of openings in the defense. She’s constantly moving off the ball, making cuts towards the basket, and stays ready to shoot, allowing her to sink three pointers off of catch-and-shoot opportunities. With plenty of youth on Stewartville’s roster, we may see the sophomore guard crack the varsity rotation sooner rather than later. She slots in at #84.
