About Clara

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an efficient scorer. I have great range and movement along the three-point line. I have been dodging in for the floater. I also have great court vision.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Hero Award - recognition for dedication to academics and peers; 'Fabulous Five' Award - recognized for "being a person who exemplifies the 'five keys' of honesty, empathy, caring, self-control & respectful communication; NYSSMA Award - Cello; Dialogue Club Award - interact w/students from other schools/cultures

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership role on my JV basketball team. Participated in Dialogue Club with other schools, creating teamwork & vision of what school environment should look like and challenges that schools and students deal with. Collaborated with students to share ideas and find solutions. Have volunteered at We Rise Above the Streets, helping the homeless population in my area.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Being a younger person leading older girls challenged me personally. I encountered hurdles that I needed to overcome in dealing with different personalities. I had to gain my teammates' trust by being there for them and demonstrating good leadership.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that recognizes academics first, that also has an excellent Women's Basketball program.

Clara Mueller Clara Mueller Clara Mueller 5'2" | SG/PG Jamesville-DeWitt | 2030 NY caught fire in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to lift her team to the win. Mueller is a left-handed jump shooter, which makes her more of a challenge to defend. Mueller is only 5’2″ but has no problem with squeezing her shots off. She has a quick release and is an excellent 3-point shooter, especially from the extended elbow area. Mueller nailed four treys in the game after pouring in five in a game the day before. When defenders jumped out at her, Mueller had the instincts to use her dribbling skills to blow by them and drive to the basket. Jamesville-Dewitt has a future star in Mueller.
