Ware doesn’t need to block every shot to control the paint — her presence alone alters them.

However, when teams dare to challenge her at the rim, she responds decisively. Ware possesses the ability to block or deflect nearly anything in her vicinity, erasing clean looks and disrupting offensive rhythm. As a result, many teams simply avoid the paint altogether, settling instead for contested, low-percentage shots from the outside.

Ware doesn’t just protect the rim, she dictates where opponents are allowed to score.

Ware, at 6’7″, is a true presence in the post. While she projects as a long-term developmental prospect, her defensive prowess is already evident. She consistently uses her height and exceptional reach to force opponents to rush decisions and alter shots around the rim.

Ware’s presence alone often deters paint touches, pushing opposing offenses to operate on the perimeter. When players do attack the interior, they’re met with the challenge of finishing over her length and shot-blocking ability. The defensive tools are there giving Ware a clear pathway to becoming a high-impact rim protector as her game continues to mature.

The saying goes “You can’t teach height”, and Ware has that. In just her second year of organized basketball, Ware possesses the potential to be a defensive force. Her offensive game is a work in progress having contributed 12 points in the contest against Landstown. Her defensive presence alone makes many players leery about driving to the basket.

Has elite size and length at the center position, capable rim protector at 6’7. Bit of a project right now but with work in the gym you can see a bump in her development this season. Last season she showed that she can run the floor and rebound and can help her team this season in the 757!
