Pendley simply gets it done on the court. She’s strong and tough on post ups, able to maul her way through defenders. While also displaying good footwork, pumpfakes and other moves to score against tougher defenders. But she’s not just a force on the block, she’ll stretch the floor with mid-range and three pointer jumpers. With the ability to attack close outs. She has led the Lady Pirates to three different in season tournament championships this year. Including the Tournament of Champions. Where her Class 2A team beat a 5A and pair of 6A top teams. Proving why she’s one of the toughest match ups in the state on the low block. Now she’ll be looking to finish her career with Gold as the favorites in Class 2A.

The Oklahoma Wesleyan commit got the Pirates off a hot start with scoring around the rim. She’s strong, with great touch around the basket. Then she stepped out and drained threes. It was a good representation of the skillful forward’s ability to be a mismatch by stretching the floor or dominating the paint. Pendley scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.

In a Saturday opener against a team with a big front line, Pendley proved to be a match up problem. When left open from three, she made the defense pay. While also putting it on the floor with face up attacks. Then her ball fakes and low post footwork were on point. Often getting the taller defenders guessing, leading to clean scores or trips to the line. When her offensive game is humming like it was on Saturday, she’s one of the toughest one on one covers in Oklahoma.

Impressive power forward this past weekend at the Heart of Texas Showcase. Works early for position using her footwork to cut down the taller defender/ Good hands and body control to take the contact and the finish. Read the ball coming off the rim to be in the right spot for the offensive putback.

Dale is loaded with talent as the top ranked Lady Pirates and Pendley is the key interior presence for a team filled with shooters. The junior has her own skill based game, capable of hitting pick and pop threes or even as a trailer in transition when the ball is bring brought up. Also is a quality passer to cutters and other options in a high-low game. But she stands out most because of her long arms and physicality around the rim. Contact around the rim doesn’t seem to bother her much and she’s great at establishing position for post touches or rebounds.

Continues to be a consistent low post threat for the Lady Pirates. Seems to enjoy the physical aspects of low post play, getting position early and fighting through contact. If fronted, she knows how to seal and score easily over the top. And once an opponent is on her back, it might as well be over. Great touch on her shots go well with her physical, grind it out nature. Important, reliable scoring option for the top ranked Class 2A squad.

11 points in the fist half against Purcell helped set the tone for the Pirates, keeping it a close game before a big second half put the Dragons away. Tough finisher, scores with contact and draws fouls. Uses some misdirection in the post and is strong enough to end up where she wants to be. Finished with 15 points and 7 rebounds.

Tough forward, with great touch around the rim. Knows how to seal and establish position, no wasted motion when the ball goes inside and she quickly lays it up. Consistently finished through contact to create “old fashion” three point plays. Can also catch it at the elbow, power dribble and score as well. Very tough match up at the small school ranks, as she’s strong and skilled.

When Pendley got established downlow and the defender on her back, it was often an automatic two points. She showed a soft touch around the rim, which also extended to her being able to attack out of face up situations. Which was a mixture of scoring herself, and a great feed to a teammate cutting to the rim off the gravity Pendley’s scoring threat brought. There were a couple times that the southwest Oklahoma standout should’ve been stronger when establishing position, but overall it was a good performance and representation of her abilities.
