The Lady Pirates have now claimed three in season tournament titles. First they took down 3A’s top team Washington to win the Dale Boomarang Classic in December. They closed that month with Anderson beating her former school (Carl Albert) along with two of the biggest schools in the state, Bixby and Union. Earning Dale the title at the Tournament of Champions. At ToC, she averaged a double double for the three games, with 12.3 points and 11.7 rebounds. Then a narrow win over 4A contender Broke Bow, earned them the Kingston New Year’s Classic. In that title game, Anderson went for 19 points and 8 rebounds.
Anderson is one of top the guards in the state, because she has amazing handles and is tough to cover off the bounce. But the grit she is showing as a rebounder and defender for the Lady Pirates could be crucial in the top ranked Class 2A squad finishing the job this year. As after adding to their trophy case in 2023, they were runner ups in 2024 and lost in the semifinals in 2025.

The ringleader for the Lady Pirates, Anderson made her mark by plundering four steals. Along with the thievery, her outstanding handles put on quite the show. No matter how close defenders tried to guard her, she kept the ball on a string and carved up the defense. Looked to pass just as much as she scored herself. Finished in double figures with 11 points.

Skylar might have the best mid-range pull up game among this list. Strong drive pull ups that has good lift and quick release keeps the on-ball defender guessing if its a pull up or attack the rim. Moves good off the ball getting hands and feet ready for the kickout. She has had success at big school and small school levels in Oklahoma. High level scorer that can average around that 20 plus range. Skylar has received offers and interest this Spring

Anderson has some of the top handles in Oklahoma. She easily carves up pressure defense, or slices through gaps in the halfcourt. She can shift gears with ease, to either set up a pull up jumper. Or to freeze a defender and blow right by them. Along with getting buckets, she also is unselfish and routinely sets up teammates with good looks. Production and flair, what’s not to like about the Dale Lady Pirates’ game?

One of the more exciting lead guards in 2026, Anderson is shifty when getting downhill. With outstanding passing and vision in transition or halfcourt. Her great handles also allow her to quickly pulling up off the dribble in the mid-range and from three. Last year, Merritt won a dog fight over Dale for the Class 2A State Title. The Lady Pirates didn’t have Anderson for that battle, and she was a huge difference in this win for top ranked Dale. The junior has elite handles, getting where she wanted on the court. Carving up the Oilerettes for 15 points, while also handing out an eye popping 8 assists. She’s smooth, she’s in command and one of the most entertaining players to watch in Oklahoma.

Quieter scoring game for Dale’s star lead guard. Still stood out for her handles and good quickness for her height. Variety of dribble moves and counters, makes her dangerous in transition and capable of breaking down the defense in the halfcourt. Rarely was flustered, even when ball pressure or traps were applied. Good in person to see just how athletic, physical and skilled she is after watching multiple times on “film”.

Good size, do it all point guard. In the halfcourt, always seems to be looking to fling passes over the outstretched arms of defenders to open teammates. Plays at her own pace on offense, with a variety of ways to score off drives. Including a pretty, one legged floater that was a clutch score late. Ended the third quarter by posting up a mismatch and powering through for a touch bucket. Complete guard that can fill a variety of roles, but seems to be excelling as the primary ball handler for the tradition rich Pirates.
