About Dashia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a high motor and focus on getting my teammates involved. I’m a triple-threat scorer who can attack the rim, score in the mid-range, and knock down the three. I’m active and disruptive on defense, make smart basketball plays, and can effectively run and lead a team on the floor.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a competitive, team-first mentality. I play with confidence, high energy, and toughness, stay locked in on both ends of the floor, and take pride in making winning plays—whether that’s scoring, defending, or leading my team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m actively involved in my community through my local church and school organizations, including National Honor Society and the Black Student Union. I also volunteer at a local gym and participate in feeding the homeless with my family during the holidays.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills through basketball, where I communicate, lead by example, and put the team first. My involvement in National Honor Society, the Black Student Union, and my local church has strengthened my responsibility and character, while volunteering at a local gym and feeding the homeless has taught me the importance of service, humility, and giving back to

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve faced the challenge of balancing high-level basketball with strong academic expectations and meaningful community involvement. Managing my time between training, school commitments like National Honor Society and the Black Student Union, and volunteering has required discipline, resilience, and strong time-management skills, which have helped me grow both on and off the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that values both academics and athletics, has a strong basketball program with a team-first culture, and provides opportunities for leadership and community involvement. I want an environment where I can continue to grow as a player, student, and person while competing at a high level.
