She ended up at a very strong NAIA program in Georgetown (KY) and had a fantastic senior season including a state title. Daysha is a prolific leader at the point guard spot with quickness and a strong downhill game. A player who could really excel at the next level. Averaged 13 per game.

I would carbon copy this young lady- you want to talk about intensity and communication, Reid does this and more! Daysha’s fire bleeds in her fast breaks, ability to play a high speed offense, and finish with such grace on transition! (Featured Photo, on defense)

For a while, she was held scoreless in this game but when the game was on the line, Daysha stepped up her game. She will be headed to Georgetown (KY) next season to play her college basketball and will be a gem in that conference. She can score, but what she brings is a good leadership and grit to get done whatever needs to get done.

She has the skills to be noticed by coaches at the next level, and is a player who is very athletic and can knock down the perimeter shot. Can get by her defender and score at the rim. Part of a very talented Portsmouth team!

#3 Daysha Reid 2025 ( Portsmouth HS , OHIO) –
Didn’t realize what a nice passer she was. Had a 10 assist game yesterday and kept it rolling today vs TNFS. Had a hard time finding the bottom of the net, but continuously was making winning plays. Rebounds and battles so well from the guard spot. Knocked down a big 3, and then another to give them a 21-20 lead over TNFS. Reid started to really flex in the last few minutes of the 1st half.
Reid’s 2nd half was fantastic. The kid can score when she wants, but is just as happy to facilitate. Had a nice take for an ‘and 1′ absorbing the contact.

Nice float game. Ran the PG spot in a structured offense. Sees the floor extremely well. Passes were on time and on target. Stroke looked good from 3.

Daysha is among Ohio’s more underappreciated players and she really has a lot of skill sets. She can use her quickness and skill to her advantage, giving her and her team the chance to score and run fast breaks. She distributes the ball well with her excellent court vision. Swift and agile player, capable of driving into the paint and producing buckets. She is a strong leader for her team and could even be a stronger contender for a state championship. She moves up from number 36 to number 32 in the updated ranking.

An outstanding guard with a lot of positives in her game. She is an excellent shooter who plays hard all the time. You can tell she loves the game and spends a lot of time in the gym. Her passing has gotten better and that is a key to continued improvement. Also starting to play better defense which makes her more of a complete player. Also working on her rebounding. She jumps up to 22 in the latest rankings.

This young lady has seen her game really grow from the last time I saw her play. She is just a tough player with good quickness and hard-nosed to the ball. She uses both hands very well and able to push tempo with her speed. Able to attack the rim and get by her defender and finish at the rim. Solid defender, as she continues to work, her stock will continue to rise.
