Gray provides a veteran presence for a Berkeley team that prevailed against all other 5A Division 2 comers for the state championship last season. Spartanburg Methodist and coach Reid Walling has extended an offer in Gray’s direction. Grassroots ball is in the rear view mirror for Gray as her final season was with Charleston Raptors . Gray competed in 26 games in 2024-25 for the Stags. She averaged 7.6 points and 1.7 steals last season. Following last season’s successful campaign, coach Crystal Peace’s team poses a solid threat to be in the same position at the conclusion of 2025-26 in large part because of Gray’s play.

It was not that long ago that Gray landed a collegiate offer from Spartanburg Methodist College. Gray turns in more performances similar to what she got accomplished at this year’s SCBCA Elite Camp and she has more collegiate offers in her future. After averaging 7.6 points and 1.7 steals for a Berkeley team that won the 5A Division 2 state championship, Gray looks to finish her high school career with a flourish. When Gray has a full head of steam attacking the rim, she is extremely difficult to contain. Playing with a heads-up attitude, court vision, ball handling and getting in position for rebounds are other positive aspects to her game.

Experiencing the euphoria of a state championship is a pinnacle of one’s high school career. Gray, entering her senior season this year, experienced that last season with 5A Division 2 Berkeley. Her ability to take care the ball and limit turnovers translates well into her her ability to make plays for her team. She also does plenty of the little things that may not show up on a scoreboard such as hustling for loose balls. Gray averaged 7.6 and 1.7 steals in 26 last season for the Stags and similar – or improved – numbers will be key if Berkeley’s title defense is to be success. Gray played with Team Johnson – 5-on-5 champions at the inaugural Passion Driven Showcase.
