Simmons’ travel career included a stint with Lady Rizin Stars before she sported a Palmetto 76ers (Nike circuit) uniform during the previous spring and summer. She already has a pair of collegiate offers on her résumé from Claflin and Miles College. Simmons competed in 19 of the Vikings’ 24 games last season while averaging 12.2 points, 3.2 steals, three rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. She was one of four from the class of 2029 on last season’s Spring Valley team. Last month, she earned an invite to the MBNO and Plew Workouts Showcase in Sumter and has also competed in track events.

The 2025-26 season at 5A Spring Valley was a somewhat down one for the Vikings with coach Megan Davis serving in the stead of the departed Megan Assey. Davis had a bird’s eye view to Simmons’ breakout year as a freshman. A pair of HBCUs in Claflin and Miles (in Alabama) would extend the first two offers in Simmons’ direction. She is another Palmetto 76ers/A’ja Wilson Elite product that spent her most recent live period in Las Vegas at Nike’s Tournament of Champions. Simmons played in 19 of Spring Valley’s 24 games last season and averaged 12.2 points, 3.2 steals, three rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
