Even with change at the top of Ridge View’s girls basketball program with coach Aaron Lucas serving in the stead of Terrence Gibson (now at Brookland-Cayce), one thing did not change – the Blazers winning games. Ferguson has more experience than the average freshman considering she first played at the varsity level as a seventh grader. Her development has continued to go in the right direction. In 2025-26, Ferguson played in 23 games and averaged 10.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.2 steals per contest. The AAU season awaits where Ferguson will wear the Palmetto 76ers/A’ja Wilson Elite uniform.

Extremely quick point guard and play maker. Reagan is an excellent full court defender and uses her speed and athleticism with her feet and hands to hound the opposing team ball handlers. She is capable of knocking down threes and has a nice floater on the offensive side.

The developing core at 5A Division 1 Ridge View includes a pair of multi-talented freshman set to establish themselves as faces of Blazers basketball for the next several seasons. Ridge View put together a 24-point, 55-31 victory over fellow 5A Division 1 team Ashley Ridge. Ferguson tallied 11 points in the victory. As someone who has played at the varsity level since her seventh-grade year, she has more experience than a typical freshman. In addition to the crooked numbers Ferguson can put on a scoreboard, she understands when the right times are to score and when to pass, will get herself in position to grab rebounds and can collect steals to create additional offensive possessions for her team.

Coach Terrence Gibson is at the helm of a Ridge View program that is among one of the premier girls basketball programs in the state. As Ferguson showcases, the Blazers will continue to bring talent to its stable as they move back to 5A play. Ferguson managed to spearhead a Palmetto 76ers effort against One Team One Dream that resulted in the former team pitching a shutout over the latter to close out this year’s Battle for the Ring. She previously ran with Palmetto Pressure on the travel circuit. She is another who scores from all three levels, has confidence in her ability to make plays and will surely amass even more playing time as her skillset continues to evolve.
