was one of the toughest competitors in any division. She brought toughness and energy that translated directly into winning. In the finals, the 5’9 Myers was a fierce competitor against Winterhaven’s twin towers. She finished with a team-high 8 rebounds and led the team in blocked shots. She consistently battled inside on both ends of the court and secured possessions for Doral. Her 4 offensive rebounds speak to her hustle and will to win. Myers also knocked down a key three-pointer and played physical defense against Hall and Mercredi in the 7A Finals. Her effort on the glass and defensive intensity were the difference in the game. Myers is one of those players whose leadership and impact stand out with the “eye” and not necessarily the scoresheet.

provided a strong two-way effort and was the energy player that brought toughness and grit to her championship team. Myers contributed 5 points and a team-high 8 rebounds, showing a willingness to battle inside against bigger players and secure possessions for her team. She mixed it up all game long in the middle against Hall and company, and also stepped out beyond the arc and knocked down a key three-pointer, helping stretch the defense and giving Doral another perimeter scoring option. Beyond the numbers, Myers made her impact felt with physical defense and hustle plays. She competed well against taller opponents, stayed active around the glass, and helped disrupt offensive rhythm with her defensive effort. Myers’ rebounding and toughness played an important role in Doral controlling key stretches of the game and ultimately winning the championship.

Myers played a crucial role as the energy, glue, and hustle player for Doral. The forward impacted the game in multiple ways, running the floor in transition, battling on the boards, and creating extra possessions with her activity. Myers also displayed versatility with her ability to “grab and go.” She was very effective at rebounding, pushing the ball in transition and distributing to teammates. One of the most impressive moments came when she grabbed a rebound and went coast-to-coast before dishing to a perimeter player for the three. Her relentless effort and willingness to do the little things helped keep Doral’s momentum rolling throughout the game.

DJ continues to impress every time she steps on the floor with her elite motor as a forward. She consistently cleans up the glass by grabbing big offensive rebounds and converting them into putbacks. Offensively, she flashed skill with a nice spin move into a fadeaway jumper, and her relentless effort shows up on every possession. She doesn’t take plays off and consistently makes winning plays which firmly establishing herself as a true winner in my eyes.

DJ consistently found the right angles to score inside on Friday. She hit mid-range shots from the lane and the baseline with confidence. She played hard on every possession and crashed the boards aggressively. Her strong frame helps her finish through contact, and she even showed an outside shot that I had not seen from her before.
