Ashley proved to be the tournament’s most lethal perimeter threat, providing the spacing and momentum Doral needed on their championship run. She had a historic semifinal, catching fire to hit 8-of-14 from three—accounting for all of the team’s deep production and finishing with a game-high 26 points. Beyond scoring, Martinez displayed elite floor vision, totaling seven assists across the two games and posting a +23 plus/minus in the semifinal. Her ability to combine consistent long-range shooting with primary playmaking forced opposing defenses into impossible rotations, making her a clear and deserving First Team selection.

(pictured above left) provided steady production and versatility throughout the game, and that came with a target on her back the entire game. After Martinez went off for 8 three-pointers in the semifinals, Winter Haven was determined not to let her have that type of performance. Martinez was still effective, finishing with 12 points while connecting on two three-point shots. She also contributed on the boards and defensively, showing the ability to compete physically while maintaining spacing on offense. Her three point shooting ability allowed Doral to keep the opponent’s defense stretched and allow other players to get downhill and become scoring options.

Martinez delivered one of the most electrifying performances of the semifinal round, putting on a shooting clinic from beyond the arc. The guard knocked down eight three-pointers, repeatedly stretching Centennial’s defense and changing the momentum of the game with her perimeter scoring. Martinez showed tremendous confidence shooting from deep, connecting off the dribble and step back, off the catch, and off the pick and roll. Give her an inch, and she’s taking “three.” Beyond scoring, she also played in sync with teammates, facilitated the offense and demonstrated strong court awareness throughout the game. Her ability to space the floor, create shooting space, and knock down the three at a high clip were high level shooting, and she will take that weapon into the 7A Finals.

Ashley played with confidence and freedom from the perimeter. She has the green light to shoot from deep and showed it when she missed a three then hit the next one on the same possession without hesitation. Ash made several hustle plays that turned into points for her team like saving the ball from going out of bounds to DJ who converted an And-1 opportunity. She also handled the ball well in the backcourt and kept her group steady under pressure.

She showed a lot of skills on the floor: she handled the ball well, displayed great court vision, and was very good at passing the ball to teammates so they could score. Martinez takes very good shots and has a nice form. She connected on one long three after missing a few that were right on point.
