If teams didn’t double Ella she usually did what she wanted as a scorer. Ella was district player of the year, first team all region and finished second team all state.

is one of the most gifted shot creators in the state. A lot of Riverside’s offense runs through Ella, and creating your offense from three instead of catching and shooting is very difficult. Ella uses her handle and size to get her shots off, and when she gets hot, she is unstoppable.

had another outstanding week this week. On Monday, in a losing effort against Briar Woods, she hit four threes and finished with 29 points. She creates so much offense for herself, and I love the way Ella creates space to get her shots off. She also hit the 1000-point mark for her career in this game. Then, on Friday, Ella put in 21 in an 18-point victory over Potomac Falls. Ella had an outstanding week and added to what has already been a terrific senior season for her so far.

had one of the week’s biggest games with 35, so I needed to acknowledge that even though she played only one game. Ella knocked down a handful of threes and forced a few turnovers that she was able to turn into points. Riverside only won this game by 2, so they needed all 35 from Ella.

is smart and fundamentally sound. She is listed as a SF, but she’s much more of a combo guard and plays more PG for Riverside. She has great size as a PG, and she’s super skilled when she gets to the rim. Her strength and athleticism are underrated, and they’ve gotten better over time. Ella can shoot, and she’s a good playmaker. Ella always makes the right play and is a good defender as well. She’s in for a big year, and I think she leads Riverside to somewhere close to 20 wins.

has good size for a point guard and is just an all-around solid player. She’s smart and a solid defender. She uses her strength and athleticism to get into the paint and put up points. People always say she is more athletic than defenders realize, but now people have caught on and still have problems stopping her at the rim. And her jump shot is good enough for teams to respect it. Ella is a fun player and one of the best guards in NOVA for 2024.
