Ella is a guard who showed college coaches a lot to like at SkillCase. Her determination, effort, communication, and all-around impact on both ends of the court set her apart. Ella showed a second gear during 1v1, finishing a middle drive layup with a soft touch off the glass. Ella demonstrated courage and confidence by defending the opposing team’s best player during games. She moved her feet, squared up, and forced difficult shots without fouling. Ella pursued rebounds like she was shot out of a cannon, grabbing multiple on the offensive end. She drained a pull-up jumper in the paint, blocked a shot, and blew by a defender to score a lefty layup off two feet. Ella directed teammates during drills and communicated on the court. She knocked down mid-range and three-point jumpers during drills, while also being one of the best passers. Ella would be an excellent addition for a college program, and she’ll be an important player for Davison this winter.

Ella worked hard on both ends, made unselfish plays, and helped Davison compete with her well-rounded performance at the SVSU MLK Classic. She continues moving on offense, scoring a layup after making a basket cut. Ella drilled a deep wing 3, finished a left-handed layup in transition, and chased down rebounds. She scanned the court to find open teammates and made crisp passes. Ella scored 7 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

Ella created extra scoring chances for Davison with her relentless hustle and hard work at the Swartz Creek Showcase. She secured several offensive rebounds by anticipating the ball off the rim and beating opponents to the spot. Ella stole the ball away and finished a left-handed layup off two feet. She scored another layup off of a steal, converted an offensive rebound putback, and dished the ball to open teammates after penetrating the defense with her dribble. Ella poured in 10 points and her efforts earned All-Showcase Second Team Honors.
