If Lincoln Southwest plays their cards correctly, they could do some damage this Winter at the varsity level. They have a seasoned PG to run their systems on both sides of the ball, as long as others step up into spacing and seize the opportunity, they could do some damage. Someone that I’m excited to see is Emersyn Wells Emersyn Wells 5'11" | PF Lincoln Southwest | 2027 State NE at the PF/C position. Wells is 5’11 and she does positive things. She is respectable on defense as someone that can wall up against either SF, PF, or Centers depending on her assignment. Always giving it her all. As long as Wells can grow more offensively, I like her changes to put up good numbers throughout the year.

Emersyn Wells Emersyn Wells 5'11" | PF Lincoln Southwest | 2027 State NE could put together a memorable two more seasons at the Varsity level if she plays her cards right. Wells is a talented Forward at 5’11, that happens to move really well for her size + age. Wells is skilled near the bucket with the ability to finish over smaller defenders or she can make some sort of counter move in the paint and that will usually lead to some sort of open look. Another huge benefit that Wells will have is that she is playing with an Elite PG in Kaytee Irons. Irons will find Wells in the post and if she runs the floor. She just needs to work hard to get to her spots and the rest is history.

When you talk about Emersyn Wells Emersyn Wells 5'11" | PF Lincoln Southwest | 2027 State NE and what she brings to the hardwood, you understand that she has length, athletic ability, and she plays with a chip on her shoulder every time she takes the floor. Wells is a SF, that lives up to her positions name. She understands what she does best on both sides of the ball and she is never trying to force action or do something that could put the team in a bad position. She has size and height on a lot of the matchups she comes across and this helps her dominant those matchups at a steady rate. I’m looking for a lot of progress from Wells moving forward. At this point she has shown promise with her raw ability. If she can work on pairing that while expanding her play-style, she is going to be a handful to deal with moving toward the future.
