With the War Eagles dire for someone to score outside of Harpring, only two others broke the box score. The sophomore was massive with 13 points on 6-9 shooting, hitting mid-range jumpers and converting at the rim as she patiently gathered herself to score while defenders flew by. Shot distribution will be spread out next year with Kate gone, meaning Morrison may no longer be a surprise candidate to consistently hit big shots.

In games like this you never know who may step up and have a huge impact on the game. Tonight, it was sophomore Emily Morrison Emily Morrison 5'6" | SF Marist | 2028 GA for Marist who picked a great time to have the game of her career. “Mo” finished the game with 13 points on 6-9 shooting, including a pair of baseline jumpers from 10-12 feet and nice finishes around the basket. Morrison is a tough, athletic kid who has gotten better each game that I have watched Marist this year. She is strong, plays with no fear, and has no problem doing the dirty work for her team. Morrison didn’t hesitate to get in the mix for rebounds and loose balls even playing undersized in the post on defense. Her teammates trusted her to make shots and she delivered in a bag way on the biggest of nights.

Morrison was one of the few players on the court who could keep up the pace with Harping and in doing so was able to create opportunities for herself to score.. Morrison did so multiple times on the fast break catching the ball and scoring quickly near the basket. Morrison also showed good form on her shot and scored from the perimeter. She did a very good job rebounding the ball and played hard on the defensive end.
