About Grace
Expert Analysis
Adrian Maloney Jr | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Grace is a true sharpshooter who brings confidence and consistency to her team’s offense. She has excellent shooting form and a quick release, allowing her to knock down shots from anywhere on the court. Whether it’s catching and shooting from beyond the arc or pulling up in transition, Grace always finds a way to score efficiently. Her ability to stretch the floor forces defenses to adjust, opening up opportunities for her teammates as well. Grace’s focus, composure, and work ethic make her a reliable scoring threat and a player that defenses can never afford to leave open.

Grace is great at using angles off the glass to score. She always has active hands in the passing lanes on defense and is a good overall defender. She can slide her feet well and uses her length well against defenders. She communicates on the court and on the bench. She understands the game to the point where I believe she can contribute at all 5 positions in some manner, even if it’s just for a few plays. During the showcase on offense, she displayed great footwork by doing a “Dream Shake” underneath the basket, while stopping on a dime off the dribble. It almost had me on the floor with that move! It’s not often I get to see a “Dream Shake” again. I’m not sure if she knows what she did or even where the “Dream Shake” came from, but nice work either way.

Grace is a lengthy wing that showed good bounce off the dribble and a very quick first step. She played through the contact, got to the basket, and showed her finishing abilities in a variety of ways. Grace had a few tough finishes mid-air around defenders. She had a firm and controlled handle going either direction and good range on her shot. She was also very unselfish and made good decisions when she didn’t have scoring opportunities.

It is good to see the 5’10” guard back in action after missing her sophomore season with an injury. She is still working her way back, but “Swaggy G” still showed how potent an offensive threat that she can be. She used her jab step or just a quick burst to get into the lane and score at a variety of angles. With her height and strength, she scored on a number of tough takes. She can also shoot it from the perimeter and work as a playmaker with his passing.
