Haley Kress Haley Kress 5'8" | /PF Millard South | 2028 State NE is another really respectable as an overall hooper. She stands at 5’8 at the Guard position and she can do some things from the 2, 3, or even 4 spots on both ends. She is at her best playing off the ball as the 2 or 3 but she has the length to move to the block in specific situations as well. Offensively – she moves off the ball, into space well. She understands where the spots on the floor are and where she should move to when things get cluttered. Defensively – she communicates well with those around her. So well that it stands out to those who are spectating because of her constant movement and how she points out directions of where everyone else should be at while things are breaking down in real time. That is something we don’t see everyday out of players in high school. The ones who can do that and stand out, are special. We will keep an eye on Kress as she steps into her Junior year at Millard South. She should have some interest from the next level as she continues to grow and I can’t wait to see that first hand over the next couple of months.

There was certainly no shortage of offense in the Under Armour finale! She got to the basket seemingly at will, attacking with sheer determination & using excellent footwork to execute crafty Euros and evade defenders’ best efforts. Her 3-ball was clicking, forcing defenders to close every inch of space because of her ability to go off at a high clip. High-level awareness led to sharp decisions.

Haley Kress Haley Kress 5'8" | /PF Millard South | 2028 State NE of Millard South is going to join the program this Winter as someone from the 2028 Class with long arms, quick hands, vision in both the half & full courts, and a smart head on her shoulders. Kress will compete at the SF/CG spot from what I’ve seen but over her career, wouldn’t be surprised if she stayed more at the 2/3 with who will be positioned around her. This roster is a young one so I’m not sure who makes what team but over the next 4 years, you will hear about Kress within this system. She seems too solid already and that’s about to show sooner or later.
