Aubrey Carder Aubrey Carder 5'8" | SG Millard South | 2028 State NE of Millard South ended her AAU season on a tough note, losing the rest of her season due to a leg injury that is going to keep her out for a while but I don’t think that changes the fact that she can bring a lot to the table for whoever she is playing with. Carder is a SG that stands out as a scorer and natural on the floor. When she competes, she always impacts the game on both ends with productive numbers, usually leading her team in a few positive statistical categories. I’m hoping that Carder can return to the lineup to end this upcoming Winter season with her high school program but if not – she will be ready for her next AAU season. That’s for sure.

If you want to talk about promise within the young age levels in Nebraska right now, you can’t miss Aubrey Carder Aubrey Carder 5'8" | SG Millard South | 2028 State NE and what she has been able to accomplish the past twelve months. Carder is a balanced and coordinated prospect at 5’8, who has an act for making big plays when it matters the most. From everything I’ve seen so far out of her, Carder is the definition of a winner as her team’s leader. When/If things break down, a lot of people look to Carder to save the day and she has been consistent in that for a few years now on both sides of the ball. This AAU season she did end up injuring herself at the end of the years so that will keep her out for a little while but that’s just a small set back for a bigger comeback.

Aubrey Carder ended her AAU season due to an ACL injury that is likely to keep her out for her entire Sophomore season as well at Millard South as well. This is a small set back for a big comeback. Carder is a prospect that has proven a lot over the past 8-10 months. She has proven that she loves to compete, that she is more skilled than most at her grade level, and that she is going to have a chance to see the college floor one day with how much promise she possesses. She has this uncanny ability to make shots, while standing out defensively because of her natural instincts. She understands how to read opponents tendencies and that helps her thrive. Carder is going to come back stronger than ever next Spring. If she takes her time and comes back fully healed, who knows what her future could hold on the hardwood.

Jumping into the Top Five for the first time in her young career is Aubrey Carder Aubrey Carder 5'8" | SG Millard South | 2028 State NE of Millard South High School and Nebraska Attack UAA at #5. Carder not only stood out on the Varsity floor these past six months, she also is playing up a grade level on the GUAA Circuit, putting together some eye-catching weekends on the road. This Top Five is going to be ever changing at this rate. Anyone of these players listed could have an argument for being in any spot in the right context so now it’s going to be all about production.

Aubrey Carder Aubrey Carder 5'8" | SG Millard South | 2028 State NE demonstrated on Friday afternoon that she really is,”that girl”, with how well she was competing up on the 17U UAA Circuit. Carder is only a prospect out of the 2028 Class. So that she is playing up and playing some of the best ball on her own 17U team right now is noteworthy. Carder’s individual skill is very impressive. When it comes to 1v1 situations on both ends of the floor, she does a great job of making the most of her opportunities and showing. Over-time, the questions she will have to answer are more concepts of team basketball but for now, she is showing out and her team is winning. As a coach, that’s all you can ask for.

Aubrey Carder Aubrey Carder 5'8" | SG Millard South | 2028 State NE jumped onto the scene with Millard South High School this past three months and she made some big time waves across the state. Carder is a SG that makes smart choices with an act for being in the right place at the right time. She is coordinated and calculated in the way she likes to attack off the dribble, being a scoring threat from all over the floor. She is someone that acts with confidence first and thinks about the aftermath later. In this sport and at this age, that can be a great thing if you are efficient and from what I’ve seen so far, Carder is efficient. Depending on what you are looking for in a recruit, you could justify Carder being a Top Five player out of this Class. If she puts together another impressive AAU season with her Nebraska Attack UAA program, she is sure to continue to be on the rise.

Aubrey Carder Aubrey Carder 5'8" | SG Millard South | 2028 State NE has started off her Freshman season at Millard South on great terms, being one of their main producers across the board as a Freshman. Carder is a selfless SG, that works off the ball mainly with a lot of poise. She is a top in her team’s full court press and she isn’t afraid to take control in moments if need be. There has been some very interesting starts to the season for the 2028 Class in Nebraska but something you can’t deny is production and Carder is showing that currently at a high rate at the Varsity level.

Aubrey Carder Aubrey Carder 5'8" | SG Millard South | 2028 State NE is someone that I don’t know too much about but what I do know is that she is going to be asked to step up her Freshman year and produce on either the Varsity or JV squad for her Millard South High School team. Carder is a 5’5 SG, with a quick trigger and good decision making skills. When she catches the ball on the perimeter, there is always a chance that the ball is going to go in the hoop if she gets a clean look. From everything I have accounted for, Millard South is going to be losing some production from this past year due to graduation, so there will be opportunites for others to come in and make their presence known almost immediately. I’m not exactly sure what will happen in this situation but if Carder keeps on working hard, she is going to be someone that plays for this Varsity program down the line and I can’t wait to see how that turns out.
