is committed to compete with Omaha in Softball for her collegiate future. If she wasn’t, she would be a rising prospect within the 2027 Class, that a lot of colleges would have interest in because of her play making ability off of the dribble. Clark is the type that makes things happen. Doesn’t matter if it’s on the softball diamond or on the basketball hardwood. She is a smooth operator with the rock in her hands offensively. She gets to the bucket off the drive a lot but she can also step out and knock down jumpers from deep so defense have to be particular in how they guard her. In this Update, Clark moves up to #27 moving into this Spring.

Clark didn’t have the best shooting night from the floor but she did get to the line numerous times for some free attempts at the charity stripe. Clark led the way for the Rams with 12 points, while going 2-10 from the field and 8-9 from the free throw line. Clark has aways been known as a hooper that gets a lot of her action at the bucket. She likes to get downhill off the dribble going right and she isn’t afraid to hit others than might become open for an assist at times. The problem in this contest wasn’t getting open for the Rams, it was finishing. There were probably 10-12 missed layups by this group in total and when that happens, it’s hard to win when you are outmatched with size and athletic ability.

. Another Southeast Polk product, Halle has shown improvement in literally every statistic as a junior this season. Earning a more consistent role this season, Clark is tallying 8.3 points per game, 3.4 rebounds, and 2 dimes per outing. The defensive dynamo has quick hands and excellent timing — you’ll often find Clark swiping the ball away from unsuspecting point guards or flashing in to take lob passes from post players overhead. Additionally I like Clark’s energy and confidence on the offensive end — she has a solid looking jumper and will pull up in transition if you don’t track her down. Well done to the Nebraska-Omaha Softball commit for her performance so far this season.

but we could have with her consistent ability to make a play for the Rams. Clark was someone that was consistently staying aggressive, attempting to get to the free throw as much as possible in their first contest of the year. I think it’s safe to say she accomplished that goal by getting to line 13 times and making 10 of those 13 attempts. Whenever Liberty started to pull away, Clark would get a take to the rim off the dribble for a simple finish or for a finish through contact. In the end the Rams fell short by a couple of points and Clark finished with 21 on 5/10 shooting from the field. A valiant effort from a group that could do some damage as this Winter goes on.

stepped onto the Varsity floor for the first time this Winter as a competitor but what she did this season was noticeable and it did put her on the map. Clark is a natural. Someone that moves well with the ball, she doesn’t need it for long times to produce, and she isn’t a slouch on defense – three things that coaches and teammates love to see around them. This isn’t someone that is going to kill you with flash but instead with basics. She can blow by you and go through you if you get in the way on her attack, she is always one of the first on the floor for a loose ball, and she doesn’t care for taking credit for anything. At the end of the day, she just wants to win. Something other like minded competitors can respect.

earlier this Winter season, I was thorough impressed with the production that she brought to her SE Polk Varsity program. Clark is just an all around coordinated individual, that understands timing and space. Against other high level competition, Clark has done a good job of shining consistently up until this point. I’ve heard this is a prospect that is talented in some other sports as well, so we will see what she sticks with at the end of her high school career. Until then, I’m sure the SE Polk staff is doing all they can to get her to continue on with the Rams until she graduates.

was one of my favorite players on the floor Monday night. She’s a fearless shooter with excellent form, going 3/6 from deep and hitting back-to-back threes early in the first quarter. She’s also a pesky defender who made Liberty guards uncomfortable throughout the night. I really liked Clark’s shiftyness on the catch as well.

has a lot of great basketball ahead of her, and I believe she will be the Rams’ X-Factor this year.
